blockland wasn't worth as much as $20
Jesus christ, if lifetime access to an 'exclusive' (requires membership) community that's provided you 84 days over 3 years isn't worth $20 to you, then you're the most frugal person I've ever met. 20 Big Macs would feed you for 10 days assuming you eat twice a day (frugal diet). 2-3 movie tickets provides you with 4-6 hours of entertainment, BL provided you 17x as much entertainment per dollar. $20 at an arcade will buy you 16 games at 75c a game, a game lasts ~5 minutes, for 80 minutes or 1.33 hours of fun. Assuming you'd bought basic cable TV instead for $30 a month, over the past 3 years you'd have spent $1,080 on TV for the same amount of access you had to Blockland for $20. Hell, even if you only bought 3 months (90 days, 6 more than you've spent online) and watched TV 24/7, it would cost you $90. If you'd played World of Warcraft 24/7 until you reached 3 months of play time, that'd cost $45, if you played at the same amount of time you've spent online, that'd be $540.
All of that is considering only the time you've spent
on the forums, any time you've racked up actually playing the game only adds on to that 84 days of online time.
TL;DR Epicduke is the single most frugal person I've ever heard of, even though Blockland has provided him with the least expensive fun that he's ever had in his life, he still wishes he had spent that $20 on something else.
