Money spawns in different pile sizes, larger ones less common.

I would avoid custom GUIs. Although they are very nice, they're annoying to some users. For example: I can't join this server because I don't have the client! Or alternatively: I need a client to perform actions? Boo!

If you can find a way to make a clean and efficient shop without the use of client-sided material, that would be grand. A while ago I was working on a GameMode and a concept I created was to create cameras far away that would show items, so if you type /shop and press the light key, it would cycle cameras and show different items or bots, giving a sample of the product. You could easily type /exit or something related and leave the shop.

It may be complicated, but it'll keep more players around and default-y things have more appeal.

Thanks for the advice. No, the client won't be mandatory, but I think the end-user would really prefer it over clumsy slash commands.

Here's the current WIP gui:

EDIT: imgur compressed that image to hell. Sorry.

I agree with YK. A gui is unnecessary for a simple gamemode. It appears that you are overcomplicating a gamemode where people like to just burn a little time on. Although command can be a bitch sometimes, opening a gui and buying a power just to return to the game every round seems like more of a hassle. Well done though.

Will you be allowed to possess multiple powerups at once if it's a go?

And are points separate from money?

Yes and yes.

I think more powerups would be nice, though, suggestions?

Slight increase in health (120hp for example) and/or some sort of healing that gives back some amount of health after you're harmed by lava.

Who wants to bet that money will be purchasable with real money like those apps?

throw-able push broom powerup

throw-able push broom powerup
What's the point of that?

It would be cool if you could find a energy  drink and that would give you a free temporary speed boost

The money looks very cluttery and weird. I would reccomend making it a bit larger, 150% or so of it's current size, and you should fix the size of the coin pile so the induvidual coins all are as big as an independent coin.
