OC megathread - why

But in Flat's regard I don't have enough information to have a valued opinion towards his character. If it's literally just a drawing of his Spiral Knight's character, I wouldn't say it's an OC. It's fan art. But if he took the time to make a real CHARACTER out of it, that's different.

I'm writing a backstory to the character that takes place in my own universe too so I mean I think that'd count towards it being an oc

I'm not siding with anyone, but my oc, Kidplasma, is just my blockland avatar, and he has absolutely no backstory. While I get that I'm not an avid poster in this thread, nothing has ever been brought up about whether he's an OC or not. Is it that fact that Flat's OCs are only from video games, and it's a thing with him, or is it that blockland, and other games that sprouted OCs in the thread have no story at all?

Errr...I wouldn't call him an OC, when he's just a Plasma Wisp from Kirby Super Star with a hat.  Main might be a better term.

This sounds similar to the Glitch race in Starbound.

Granted, I may be wrong and probably am, but I am just saying it sounds similar.

This sounds similar to the Glitch race in Starbound.

it definitely looked similar but it had a hint of originality and it was a small step in right in the right direction.
then again, flat has said previously that he doesn't jack off to robots so maybe i'm right about the special interest fuel theory....
