Don't bother upgrading that piece of stuff. Buy a new one.

wat good thing can i get for 300 lol

like a gtx 750
although youre like stepping on major bottleneck territory here
if you have a decent mobo you might wanna try to overclock that cpu. i had an e6600.
so spend that extra cash on better cooling and boost that up to 4ghz

a GPU (650-660 isn't bad for $300 budget)
a new PSU (there's a 480 watt on newegg for like $15)
and a few sticks of ram

hes doesn't desperately need ram, and a 650-660 will be handicapped by his Pentium.

IMO, you're gonna need to upgrade your CPU. You could look at getting new mobo&cpu or just replacing the pentium w/ a better LGA775 chip.

ive heard mobo doesnt really matter if it has at least one pci x16. thing is tho my board can only support 4 gigs o ram.

yeah you'll probably need to focus on your processor if you want to get anywhere in the future
try an intel i5

then your mobo sounds like stuff so dont overclock unless you want to start a forest fire

Research what type of CPU and GPU you want and make sure to have atleast 2GB RAM. Then the rest of the parts should be good.

Cheapest Decent computer I ever made on this was $600+

You can totally get something for 300, but I agree: if you can go without a new PC until Crimbo or whenever next you might get money, you're gonna be able to get a better machine.

i understand youre trying to help, but if you dont understand that you cant fit every cpu into every mobo; then you shouldn't suggest. unless youre saying to get new mobo too which is like 400 dollars.
