You have a better chance of dying in a car accident than dying in a plane crash. You're even more likely to die scuba diving than in a car accident, so I think you're fine.
Likelihood of accidents is one thing. Likelihood of surviving an accident is another thing. I have an acute fear of flying.
Statistics have no bearing on fear-based decisions and I hate that people don't recognize that.
It's very rational if you DONT WANT TO DIE HIGH ABOVE THE GROUND.
especially since i have both a fear of heights and a fear of airplanes
regardless, fear is a very rational human response.

i like boats
except when they sink
but its pretty easy and probably really fun to escape a sinking ship
