To be fair they were only difficult because we mostly experienced them on hard. The ones not on hard wern't too difficult.
Yeah after we did it on normal difficulty they weren't nearly as bad, but Phallanx's are annoying no matter what difficulty.

also I hit level 20 and we have like 2 missions and 1 raid left until we complete most of the main story stuff, were so close.

Nice job! Good luck.

Finally got Destiny myself, my parent's got two copies for themselves and let me mooch one of them occasionally.

Beat the tutorial and first mission.

Anything else about the game I need to know before I continue playing?

Search every crevice in the map for hidden chests, they give you a lot of glimmer and materials.
you can also find golden chests which are really good for containing loot, theres 5 on each planet.

Is it just me, or am I left wondering "That's it?" after completing the story? Is there going to be more story revealed to us or is that it?

nextgen consoles are too fancy for me; i'll be getting it on the 360.

Like I said, I haven't seen the ending yet, but I went to the Grimore cards site thing, and saw there were sections listed for Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury, meaning there will probably be more later on.

My plan is to get it on the PS3 digitally, they have a deal going on where if you get it before January, you get it on next-gen for free. So once I got it on PS3 I'll come back and post with my PSN ID.

Got to level 20.

Now I gotta get light armor and stuff.
Are there any more story missions or are they all done.

Done for now. They plan on updating over time so fear not! The ending is definitely disappointing, at least for what it currently is, if the story was truly done I'd be kind of pissed, but they plan on expanding the story so some huge satisfying ending wouldn't make any sense when there's still more yet to be added. If they included one it'd feel more like adding on rather than continuing the story.

Oh thank God.

Hopefully they add much more because that ending was inconclusive as stuff.

Exactly, but it bothers me how harshly some sites are reviewing Destiny because of this. Treating it as if it's a finished product that wont be touched again doesn't make any sense when they clearly stated it wont end there.

I finished the game in like 3 days on and off.

I can only hope that the newer stories are longer and less repetitive.
Gameplay was still pretty good nonetheless.

yeah my only complaints so far are about how short the story is, and how much of a grind hell the part of the game past level 20 seems.
like you need 65 vanguard marks (i think) for a single piece of legendary vanguard armor, and the strikes only give 3, daily heroics only give 5, and weekly heroics give 3 plus whatever the strike gives you, so probably about 6.
so there seems like a lot of grinding past that point (unless you get lucky like my friend who got a Exotic sniper and legendary engram today)

This quote from an editor for Polygon is exactly how I feel about Destiny's reviews thus far:

Like if this was a single player game or even a game like Borderlands in which the only real updates would be DLC since it was a finished game I'd understand, and for some reason reviewers are taking it this way when in fact it's being released the same way MMOs are built upon and the scores are really hurting Destiny's image.
