I work at a vet and take care of dogs that are boarding and the occasional impound dogs. I got to see a leonberger dog in rl. It wasn't very tall but mein got it had the body of a small bear and long fur, but it was super nice and playful.

When I was younger my family had an American Eskimo, which if I'm reading Wikipedia right it's saying that they're a kind of spitz. She was very nice and she would lay down in bed with you or something if you called her up there.
