It really isn't that impressive though since it was designed and made and flies in pretty much the safest era of aviation.

Indeed, but those were also both 777-200ER's iirc
I stated with emphasis on the -300 part in case someone would immediately say that
find a list of all boeing 777-300 series aircraft, and you'll see not one has ever been lost yet, which is pretty damn good

But the 300's safety record regarding incidents like that occurring has nothing to do with the aircrafts design itself.

mah kinda plane. god i love the atlantis

down in tucson we have a high school aviation mechanics program. it's right next door to Tucson Intl. with classes held inside of a hangar. we even have our own plane and runway

i'm starting early next month  :cookieMonster:

if you have anything to do with the state of ohio, you are guaranteed a spot at nasa

Thats awesome. If you ever have questions outside of your instructors I'll be glad to help. I've been working as a mechanic of sorts for my grandpa for the past 3 years. He owns a maitenence company and is an A&P + IA. So I've learned quite a bit.

I've got quite a few questions about flying myself..

judging by the sheer amount of astronauts from ohio i'm this close to believing you
