I tried the demo and didn't understand this game at all.
6 months later and I bought it for $5. How the hell do I properly play this game? I feel like I'm doing things I shouldn't be doing, like getting loving swarmed by cops. Is the point to avoid detection all together, or is playing wreckless an okay thing to do?
Play the objectives and move around a lot. If you camp in one place, you're loving yourself. Playing wreckless is perfectly okay.
Go for headshots.
Don't use silenced weapons on loud unless you have some specific skills and know what you're doing.
Get rid of your amcar and chimano as soon as possible. (buy a UAR rifle if you dont have gage mod courier, car-4 if you do)
Level up perk decks.
Start on Bain/Vlad heists. (excluding meltdown like jesus christ)
Buy Gage Mod Courier.
