The oft-quoted statistic is correct given that the context is discussing CAPACITY for conscious cognitive function, not including the 90% which is primarily devoted to non-consciously controllable functions like hormone control, memory formation, muscle memory, and a whole stuffload of other things. In reality, we do end up only using about 30-40% of our higher cognitive functions but that's taken out of that initial 10%, not 100%.

i've seen a huge amount of movies
sorry but i don't have a typical fondness for movies.
i'm usually into shows a ton as well and i have multiple favorite shows including the breaking bad.
