The time for us to put all secrets aside shall soon be upon us. But first let me be the one to say "aewsum! first poest." Now that is taken care of I'll explain what I want discussed in this topic.
  • Ideas; The creation part of my mind is wearing down through excessive use. Help appreciated.
  • Support; It's always niice to have a reason to keep chugging.
  • Excitement; Tell us what you're most excited to do when our server becomes public.
  • Help; Master wont take the chains off! SOS! I NEED HELP!
Okay, okay, I'm typing! *rubs back of neck*
What we have finished:
    Created the RPGs foundations (Round system, see next paragraph)[/li]
  • Created a fully functional wand system!
  • Created an inferi system!
  • Lot's of freeplay stuff (see next paragraph)

Currently working on:
  • House-Elf system (Jervan)
  • Spells (Monty, Jervan)
  • Creatures (Jervan, Grimreaper)
  • Profile Saving and Loading (Resonance Cascade (thanks!))
  • Quidditch Techniques and/or bugs (Tonce)
  • The build (Jervan, Monty, Caboose, Tonce, TheLegend, Psygo, Spation)

Still to do:
  • Creature Players.
  • Craft System.
  • Quest system.
  • All of the things currently being worked on.

RPG Foundations

Round Mode is 3 consequtive rounds. Each round lasts 15 minutes and winning gives your team an advantage in Freeplay Mode. The rounds are (advantages):
  • Quidditch Match (Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley)
  • Struggle for Power (St Mungo's, Ministry of Magic)
  • Beast Battle (Dementor Allegiance, Azkaban)

      Freeplay is when either Round Mode finishes or Jervan stops it for a reason. By default Freeplay Mode lasts 30 minutes (may be lowered). You get to use your advantages depending on what you've won. If your team won nothing we suggest either hiding together or disrupting the enemy using their advantages against you. Freeplay Mode encourages tactics to counter Round Mode's sharp and sweet, adrenaline filled action.

      Remember what to post and we hope you're all as excited about the opening as we are!

Right now we're working on Quidditch! Fun fun fun. Brooms finally work and are fun to fly and I'm starting the spawning position part now :D

if yal need a modeler I can model really well on Google Sketchup, the only problem is that I do not have the pro version so I can't export so I will need to send the file to someone and have THEM export it...

 HELL YES YOU CAN . I mean wow you model very well.

Right well, models we need are:
  • Broomstick
  • Quaffle
  • Bludger
  • Beater's bat
  • Snitch with animated wings
If I get any of these I'm happy. Beater's bat isn't really needed, I can just use the hammer model colourshifted.

Most important at the moment is a broomstick.

umm...wuz that sarcastic or serious.... can't really tell....hmm... heres a pic of something I made in like 10 minutes on google skethup... I know not necisarily for this mod cause its not Harry Potter, just showing something I made real quick.... magic staff...

Oh lawd PPT communications.

Anyway, these things fail unless there's communication, so make sure you guys keep talking to one-another. I'd like to see this come about. :D

This mod won't fail because:

1. I am far too interested in it, therefor if it is only me working on it / updating this thread it will still be progressing.
2. PPT has proven it's loyalty to working on my sometimes seemingly impossible Projects.
3. Do we have a 3? PICTURES! :D



The broom uses a Kaje's rtb model which is why we want/need a new one.

Right now I'm trying to make a pitch trigger so when you leave it, it turns you around and tells you not to leave while in a game.

Quidditch mechanics are as follows.

Quidditch round starts.
Classes are assigned randomly (Seeker, Chaser, Beater, Keeper, in order of importance.)
If your team does not have enough for one of each you will have to do without the classes not there.
Seekers end the round by finding the snitch which grants them 150 points.
Chasers get the quaffle and score points by getting it through one of the oppositions hoops.
Beaters hit bludgers (this is the hardest and most dangerous class) The bludgers are basic bots that aim for the beaters and the beaters aim for chasers and hit the bat when a bludger is near and the bludger then turns into a projectile which can "defeat" a chaser.
Keeper's defend the hoops.

When a player is "defeated" they spawn in the pitch's hospital ward, have to maneouver past the nurse (she insists you stay in bed :P) get their broom and go back onto the pitch. Total time to get back from being defeated is around 45 seconds.
