Author Topic: Rechargeable Buffer Items 2: Electric Boogaloo  (Read 3193 times)

Almost a year ago, I posted a thread asking for this thing here, and nothing became of it

What I ask is some items that provide a temporary (~10 seconds) AoE buff towards teammates in Slayer when used, and recharge after 15-20 seconds

Damage Resist - nearby teammates receive a 20% damage resistance
Extra Damage - nearby teammates do 20% extra damage
Speed Boost - nearby teammates and user receive a minor speed boost
Regenerate - Heals nearby teammates for 40 health over 4 seconds
Shield - nearby teammates receive a shield that blocks 45 health and then goes away

I don't even know if these are possible but whatever

I figured it was better to make a new thread than bump the year-old one, right?

i might do this actually
it wont be that hard either

the shield one isnt possible afaik
the other ones im doing right now

also do you want the buff to be towards all teammates or just to people in a certain radius

the shield one isnt possible afaik
Couldn't you look at code from Bushido's shield add-on?

Why not?
im assuming he means like the projectile shield in TF2

also do you want the buff to be towards all teammates or just to people in a certain radius

In a radius, maybe about 50x50 bricks?

im assuming he means like the projectile shield in TF2

Actually it'd be more comparable to overheal from TF2 than anything

also, thank you

So you're saying it's impossible to put a radius around a player that will delete a projectile, last for X seconds, or if said deleted projectile has a damage over 45, and put an emitter around said player while it's still there? Weird, I thought that this can 100% be done with torqueshiet

It can. Fire a initContainerRadiusSearch, and see what you can so from there.

Of course it's possible.
Very easy, too

Out of curiosity, are you talking about

im assuming he means like the projectile shield in TF2

or

Actually it'd be more comparable to overheal from TF2 than anything

Out of curiosity, are you talking about

or

The latter is what I meant, and would be really easy.
The former would be doable as well, though
