It doesn't really matter if they get defensive if they're wrong. In this scenario their reasoning that providing them with access to Netflix allows them a channel to view adult content they would otherwise be unable to see is down right incorrect.

But just because someone's reasoning is wrong, and is shown to be so, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll change their view.
