You are overdoing it. Do you even know how long it would be for you to travel to places like Avalonia?

You are literally pulling an Aspidis.

Avalonia to Varansk is literally only a little bit off of the same distance as Avalonia to Atentsia. So either void all your interactions with Avalonia or quit being a hypocrite.

Avaonia's been sending ships along that coast for far longer than Varansk has been at sea, and each nations ships have reached the others' fatherlands.

He sent ships out. Cartography isn't that hard. It's not like he's going to each and every capital.

I'm just stating that there's a difference between what Atensia has with Avalonia and what Varansk does, namely that there's already been a good bit of interaction for years and years.

Edit:
Poor Calzone, doesn't do much and doesn't show up on any of the maps :/

Albitonic forces begin marching into Atensia
They are met with a well made defensive figurative-wall/barrier after the Abiltons were standing there for 60+ years.

Preperations were made long before, tactics and strategies planned and tested. The threat of war with Albiton was obvious over the years .

The high priest and the bishop of mars assures all soldiers and civilians that the war god favors their side, and therefore, they will go to the better part of heaven if they die for their nation and protect their homes. The troops are well trained, well fed, and well equipped. Great leaders, notably the son of the popular and honored general, are sent out to lead their men.

Varansk is mostly exploring so much because a lot more of their resources go towards that and trade than towards a military, as we plan to remain neutral in every conflict. We have peaceful relations with our eastern neighbor, and are working on stabilizing relations with the Bresini.

Speaking of which, gifts, and a trade request, are sent to the Bresini. Trade requests are also sent to every PC and NPC nation we've met so far. The more we trade, the richer we get.

Erinaum sends all Aspian scholars and linguists back, and begins to send more scouts along the trade route.  Because of trade of spices from either nation, and incense and perfume from Erinaum and Aspidis, respectively, Erinaum dubs the route "The Spice Road".

Ovrr the course of a century, Erinamese scouts also discover the nations of Seneca, Captica and Lotavik, along with any other NPCs related to either.

Construction of the Spice Road is now 15% complete on the Erinamese end.  Due to the war being over and the Edict of United Ezbátu creating much more labor than normal, the project accelerates.  The main route is planned, and markers are set up where routes are to be.  Along completed portions of the route are milestones, marking the progress of the route.  At every 10 miles, there will be a rest stop, with a small inn, a stable, and storage areas located there.

Update:  Events No. 3

Lotavik:  The prince, overseeing the troops about to invade Tanorul was doing his rounds of inspection on horseback when an arrow flies straight into his chest, leaving him bleeding for a few minutes before dying.  The Fydorsmen army take up their shields and block a volley of arrows, and however unprepared, fight valiantly for his cause, and push the front 15 miles into Tanorul.  The king has but one male heir, a below average tactician and one who fears the duties of the throne.  However, he also has a female heir who is clever, confident, and does not fear the duties of the throne.  With his days numbered by old age, he knows he must choose between disgrace by a disgraceful son, or disgrace by appointing his daughter to the throne.

Erinaum:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Atenisia:  Albitonic forces put up a good fight with the Atenisian forces, and manage to greatly weaken the Atenisian defense line, despite being pushed back to the border.  Reinforcements are on the way to once again push an offensive.  Damages incurred on the Atenisian line: 78%.  Damages incurred on the Albitonic line: 67%.

Avalonia:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Galaumia:  Disputes have occurred over grazing land amongst the Council of Elders.  No threats of war or violence have occurred, but the situation is nonetheless heating up.

Erste is still on the list for some reason so I am posting it here as some random one-liner that should really not be here but oh well.

Virlinde:  The Kingdom of Olis is finding favor with Virlindian politics, and sends Virlinde a gift of mead, and invites Virlindian dignitaries to partake in feasts with the king.

Aspidis:  Inner conflicts within Ibene cause a total collapse of the nation.  Ibenian civilians fleeing the chaos flee to Aspidis.  The population increases by 10,150.  Ibene becomes carved up by individual warlords.

Caprica:  A wealthy noble land owner in the southern end of Romicia dies, and leaves behind his land to Caprica, about 20% of southwestern Romicia.

Varansk:  The economy recovers from any losses from the raids.  Grain harvests are up 150%.

Seneca:  Harvests become blighted by swarm after swarm of locusts.  Harvests down by 40%.  Surrounding allies begin to lose interest in the Senecan partnerships.

Calzone:  Trappers discover large populations of minks along its many rivers.  Its furs are valuable, and so trappers begin to capture them and sell locally and abroad.  This creates humongous capital in the forests and promotes settlement of some of the nation's less populated areas.

Hlaohamarr:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Albitonic stabilization in the front lines are attempted to be made by soldiers chanting: "You've been conquered! Turn on your Empire!" all the while the usual chant of "Semper Fidelis!" to bring up soldier morale.

Upon moving onto a force, tower shields are used to block arrows and other protectiles, and the use of javelins or spears are used once to thin the enemy numbers before any hand-to-hand combat, all the while protected archers firing a mixture of regular arrows and fire arrows, aiming for officers or leaders when not doing any rally-shots. Defense tactics are similar.

varansk asks the most isolated country it can think of, avalonia, how much they'd be willing to pay for us to trade them our sweet maps

Avalonia and Varansk are asked if they would like to sell or donate more military orientated products our way, such as dried foods/rations, weapons, tower shields, etc.

Avalonia has not actually been super isolated, its ships have followed the Western Coast as far as Ibene, and the Eastern Coast to the tip of that thar large peninsula in search of trade and junk.  Avalonia would still be happy to trade maps, but isn't going to pay an arm and a leg or anything.

Avalonian merchants see the War of the Red Ear (so called because Avalonian seamen heard rumors that the violence began when the ear of the son of one of Albiton's generals was found at his doorstep; rumors have not been confirmed, but the name seems to have stuck) as an opportunity for profit and begin to funnel iron, weapons, shields, food, etc. to Atensia.  Their confidence, however, in an Atensian victory is apparently not especially high as none are trading on credit, demanding gold, silver, bronze, and other such things as payment.

Ateni attempts at advances are utterly crushed and albitonic forces push 5 miles into Ateni land.

I never said we tried to advance into the enemy. We are standing our ground (at least trying to) and meet a force in the way I said.
