I agree with this mostly. but if it's something like, a $10 game, where you just walk around...? and stuff changes around you I guess? I can't remember the name of the game. anyway, if it's something like that, and you wanna try it out to see if you like it first, I don't have see what the problem would be. cus that could easily be $10 wasted. but if you do like it, and just keep playing the one you pirated instead of buying the game for real, then you're a richard

this is actually what i normally do
i have torrented a bunch of games just to try them out as a sorta illegal demo i guess
i delete them afterwards and if i liked them ill buy them

It's not on. Particularly if the product is still available for sale. You're cutting out someone's livelihood. It doesn't matter if you don't think the game is worth paying for or not.
If someone was selling turds for £2 on the street and I didn't think it was worth it, it still wouldn't be acceptable if I took one of those turds without paying to test it out before I buy.

And the fact that they're not losing a physical item and that it's just a digital copy means nothing. They're still losing potential revenue.
