I'm guessing that tabs with taste are very bad, I've never messed with lsd
Quick summary for you and anyone else out there who might end up with a tab of acid in their mouth that tastes bad:
LSD itself has no taste. Obviously, usually it comes on a blotter. I think the blotters taste like paper, and paper kind of inherently tastes a
little bitter. By this I mean, if it has a very very very light, hardly noticeable taste, you're probably good. However, real LSD is relatively rare.
LSD is extremely hard to produce. Nearly word-wide prohibition of the chemicals you use to make it help make it really, really difficult to actually make. Also, you can only make it if you can get your hands on a properly equipped lab. No kitchen meth lab is capable of producing LSD. So since it's relatively rare, and highly in demand, people try to pass other stuff off as it.
There's good news: it's ridiculously easy to tell if you've got bad acid. LSD is an extremely potent, tasteless chemical. The chemicals people use to fake LSD are less potent and taste
horrible. So, there's one minor tip-off that a tab isn't acid, and then one definite tip off that it's not acid. If you don't know how big acid tabs usually are, they're squares about 1/4 of an inch wide and tall. They're also relatively thin: thicker than paper, but thinner than a paper towel. You can't fit a whole lot of a drug on something that small, so while it works great for LSD, it's harder to fit a decent dose of a research chemical on it. So, if the tab seems bigger than 1/4 an inch squared, it's likely that you've either gotten really really potent LSD (they would have told you) or you've gotten a research chemical. I personally wouldn't throw a tab away for being that size, but I might pass on it in the first place as I wouldn't like to do that much acid at once anyway. However, that doesn't mean that 0.25in tabs are safe. To know for sure, you've gotta taste them.
The research chemical class that is most commonly passed off as 'LSD' is called an NBOMe (pronounced "N-Bohm"). NBOMes are interesting, but not really something you should be consuming. If you happen to put a tab in your mouth, and it tastes
extremely bitter, you might be disappointed. That's alright, but you probably shouldn't let that disappointment lead to a 'forget it' attitude. NBOMes are newly discovered, barely researched, and definitely not fit for consumption in the same way other drugs are. While,
yes, they will get you high, and you will have a psychedelic experience, it's probably not worth it.
