Author Topic: Tony Stewart hit and killed a fellow racer at a local track  (Read 6883 times)

Well actually, I go to dirt races two sometimes three times a week and it's actually quite often that drivers get out of their cars and go on the track to show their displeasure. And Stewart actually could have avoided hitting him if he didn't step on the gas. When you hit the gas in a sprint car the car's natural movement is to fishtail or go sideways. Not stepping on the gas would have allowed him to just roll the car past the guy. But of course Tony Stewart being the hothead he is had to do that and it resulted in tragedy.
Ah, I see. I don't go to dirt races a lot, so I can't comment on it.

Tony Stewart was my favorite nascar driver growing up :(

Did you read what I quoted? And then read what he was talking about?
He made a joke about Earnhardt Sr.s death
My whole family are huge fans of Earnhardt, both sr. and jr.. It was a joke, stop being offended.

just because you like someone, doesn't mean it's okay to joke about their death

I said that to show that it wasn't some hatred of the driver. It was a joke.

None of you guys knew him in person, you just know that he drove a car for a living. I obviously wouldn't say that joke around some of his family or friends lol.

I'm not offended, but that doesn't make your joke funny.
If you died would you like it if we made a joke about you? You are just some forumer we know afterall.

I honestly wouldn't give a stuff. There's a difference between a joke, and saying that he deserved to die or something.

So you're saying Tony Stark's racing career may be over? I never knew he raced.

didn't you watch Iron Man 2?

You're being kinda hypocrite now.
You don't want people to joke about someone being dead yet you join in on a joke related to the death.

...? joking about tony stark (aka iron man)? tony stark is not dead. he isn't even a real person

also, "hypocrite" is a noun, not an adjective

It was a joke about the name of the guy who ran over the dead guy.
Are you going to tell me that's okay?

yes it is okay, because it was a joke about the name of a guy whose career may be over, not a guy who is dead, or even injured

I'd just like to point out that I think both are okay.

Haha his parents must be happy now.

It's not about the dead guy himself so that's cool right?
Your logic is flawed.
