Try just being genuine about how you feel. Don't be hostile or aggressive, when you're invited to go eat stuff food in the boring woods on a hot day, tell them you don't feel like going. When they ask you why, tell them it's hot and makes you uncomfortable.
If they tell you some bullstuff about your computer usage, call them out on their techno-phobia and that sitting in an air conditioned building, accessing an endless vault of human knowledge and communication, shielded from the elements in comfort, is time better spent than in a stuffty hot boring woods with bad food.
Debate them. They'll probably come out with the "we're the final authority obey" card, but after a few years of winning debates with them, they'll wear down. Worked for me.
