Highest bets for me are Saint Louis University and SOM @ University of Oklahoma.

Saint Louis University (gee I wonder where that is) is probably top because my dad works at Saint Louis University Hospital (SLUH) and is highly respected by several divisions (not just the MRI dept, where he was just promoted) and can probably put me through with little tuition.

I kind of like SOM (School of Meteorology) @ University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK) because it is one of the highest ranked schools for degrees in the atmospheric sciences. Although its pretty far away, its not far from I-44 which goes straight into St Louis if I should be visiting.

P.S. - Norman, Oklahoma is also home to the National Weather Service Laboratory.

P.P.S. - Oklahoma is tornado heaven. Storm chasing :cookieMonster:

I'm about to drop $500 on rentals/purchases.  Thank god my tuition is only $4700/semester and the apartment is $900/month

You could do what I did and just mute it and switch tabs while they played mandatory videos.  The only new piece of information I learned is that carbonated beverages may speed up alcohol entering your bloodstream.  It's great for anyone who doesn't know anything about drinking though and will definitely prevent kids dying from alcohol poisoning on day 1.

Well, I mean it looks like a stuffload of effort just to get to the point where it'll show you videos or anything. I couldn't care less about the videos, I just wanna answer the cool quiz questions and see how I compare to other people. Clicking the huge "Get AlcoholEDU" button brings me to this page which just looks like too much effort. I don't want to engage in a conversation with some salesperson and convince them to let me forget around with their program.

And that's in-state tuition cost right? Jesus.

I'm just doing community college right now, but later on I plan to go up to Northern Arizona University.

Or, I will be doing community college starting next week anyway.

wow i almost went there but they didnt have my major. I loved the idea of college in the snow.

My apartment is about $900 a month too. It's great though, brand new (I'll be the first person to live in the single bedroom) and fully furnished with a pretty nice kitchen. Flat screen TV in the living room, stuffs cash.

Moving in Friday. Super excited, I kinda wanna host a party the first night but idk how my roommates will feel.

I was supposed to be there this year but then some ridiculous stuff happened and it didn't end up happening.

you missed the elementary school mega-thread apparently
damn

my college, University of Central Florida, is the second largest in the country at least.

That's in-state, yup.  Out of state is like $15k tuition.  Room/board is roughly $3k, meal plan roughly $3k I think.

It's not bad.  It has a stuffload of amenities and is furnished.  Includes utilities except for electric too.  On-campus dorms are barely a tiny bit cheaper than the apartments but with a fraction of the comfort and quality.  Once you go apartment, you can never go back so I might as well just stay in this apartment complex.

Freshman are required to stay in dorms the first year. After that, we can do whatever. But there aren't too many apartments around campus...
