Sorry but grease will degrade your quality. Some nice butter would do quite nicely.

My parents would probably just tell me it's growing pains, so I'm glad you're getting professional help.

we went to a specialist earlier this year but all he could tell us was that my joints were also hypermobile. he said that unless i started developing swelling or redness around my joints then it was all normal stuff for teenagers.
Now I may not be a woman or super flexible, but I was a teenager my self and what you have is not something that people normally go through. It sounds like something that shouldn't be taken lightly.

how the forget is unexplainable extreme joint pain part of being a teenager
i may have had some fair amount of pain before but that was usually because i hurt myself
but extreme joint pain, which brings you to tears
as part of growing up?
that makes no loving sense

I hope everything goes well. You're one of the few interesting people on this forum.

Did you explain the whole condition to him? I mean—like everyone else has said—being brought to the point of tears and barely being able to walk because of joint pain is obviously not normal teenager stuff. It's infuriating that no one is taking this seriously.

first it's growing pains
then it's dying pains

first it's growing pains

"MOM MY HEART'S STOPPING"
"dear, i've told you before, it's just dying pains, get over it"

yeah i explained it to him pretty thoroughly and he was just like "well all teenager have overly flexible ligaments, that's why you see a lot of them wearing braces while playing sports. it's all normal and unless you get swelling or redness at the joint then you'll be fine, just take some pain medicine when it happens" and charged us up the butt

I don't know any teenagers that have to wear braces to support their joints, apart from my sister at one point, but I think that was something else.

well growing pains are a real thing and different for each of us but when it gets to the point where youre on the ground crying, yeah see a doctor or something

Growing pains are pains solely in the legs of children and young teenagers, and typically occur at night.
Carolcat isn't suffering from growing pains.

gosh it would suck if it turned out you had RA similar to lizzyrascal
