"Don't loving call me sir, I'm barely an NCO." He then leaves and heads towards the staging area. Peter climbs into Tank Bravo, taking his seat at the radio. He turns on the radio and tunes it to the proper channel, catching Luke's reply. "Able, Baker; wait one, over." I turn towards where the commander would be (if youre there idfk) and ask the status on the tank.

I say hello to Peter as he entered the tank, sipping my coffee. I open my hatch and peek outside, watching Willis stroll towards the tank and greet him as well.

Back. Got the Victory.

I play tight end and defensive end.

"Gunner check the ammo, make sure were split fifty-fifty with HE an HEAT,"

I take out a map and start figuring in my head our attack.

God damn where is B Tank.

"Put your god damned coffee down. This isn't some training party. Get your head in the loving game." I look at the radioman as I settle into the seat. "Transmit standby. We're approaching formation." I turn my head towards Willis, "Move your ass! Get this thing started and move into formation now!"

"Checking ammo."

I hop out of my seat and crawl over to the ammunition racks on the right end of the turret basket. A quick inspection reveals that we have an even amount of HE and HEAT rounds.

"We have a fifty-fifty split, sir."

"Good, good..."

The loathsome Tiger lumbers into position.

"Radioman, relay the following,"

"The main hostile push is by infantry... Our unit will be deployed five miles northwest of the city... The terrain is our AO is medium residential, lots of clusters of one and two level buildings... Do not enter the streets without infantry support... Expect shelling once we enter city limits. Terrain between here and their consists of relatively flat ground with forested areas with patchy open grassland... Watch for air attacks while in open areas... The convoy will leave shortly. Charlie tank will be paired with Able. B and D will be paired... The convoy will leave momentarily."

Ooooh, can I control the opposing forces?

"Okay."
I flip the switches so that I can be heard on all radios.
"Yeah, this is Able Tank (I hope this is correct.), I've got a message to relay. The main hostile push will be by infantry, and our unit will be deployed five miles NW of the city. Terrain in our AO: Medium residential, lots of clusters of one and two level buildings.
Do NOT enter the streets without infantry support. Expect shelling when we enter city limits. Terrain: Relatively flat ground with forested areas and open grassland. Watch for air attacks in open areas. The convoy will leave shortly. Charlie tank, and B and D tanks will be paired. The convoy will leave in momentarily."
I flip a switch, and no one can hear me but my crew members.
"I hope I said that right."

Ooooh, can I control the opposing forces?
I hadn't thought about it. Perhaps you could, but we'd need a lot more of you doing the same thing. In the meantime, would you be willing to be loader in A team?

"Alright, I'll stay out of the streets..."
I turn the tank and kick the engine into gear so that we get to the firing point ASAP.

I chuckle as I put the coffee in my mug holder. I love the smell of coffee, because it faintly disguises the disgusting oily and metallic smell this beast provide.

Ulysses hops in the tank behind the machine gun.

The first scout cars and motorcycles being making their way out onto the road. It is followed by a section of tanks, then another, followed by a few sections of motorized infantry. A marshaller signals to us that it is our turn to go. The tank lurches forward, followed by the others. I turn and salute the rest of the tanks in our section, tipping my crusher cap. Exhaust fumes and dust fills the air. An anti-air section follows us, followed by some mechanized infantry.

The sounds of steel and thunder fill the air, even drowning out the friendly aircraft overhead. Periodic chatter of the radio can barely be heard above the noise.

"Driver, forward, proceed with the column." The tank lurches forward and accelerates up to speed, jerking each time a gear is changed. Once the convoy is on the move, I adjust my headset's microphone. "Crew, radio check. Can you all hear loud and clear?"

"Roger. I can hear perfectly fine."
