Author Topic: Ferrari threatened "cease and desist" on Deadmau5 over "Purrari 458"  (Read 7683 times)

it's his car wtf do they care

Seriously? It's his car, he can do whatever he wants with it.

I don't understand the custom floor mats and badges thing. Was he selling them? What did they look like?

I'm following him on instagram. I've seen a few pics of it :)

If your ferrari is anything but the forumla 1 red they hate you.

Wow, if anything, that wrap made ferrari look like a nice company.
Also, I don't understand why he accepted it, it's his car, he paid lots of money for it, he can do whatever the hell he wants to it.

Ignoring how ass handicapped the actual wrap is, they're perfectly justified if he replaced their logos.

is that actually legal? he bought the car, right? if he didn't buy the car and it was some kinda gift from the company for publicity stuff then it makes sense I guess. but if he legally bought the car himself, how can anyone tell him what he can or can't do to it?

were the logos on his car?
I can't tell what part they ordered the cease and desist over. Unless he was selling stuff with ferrari's likeness they can't do anything.

Its not about the wrap, its probably because he used a modified version of the ferrari logo on his car. I dont know about law and copyright stuff, but im pretty sure this is the reason, not because he made his car a bit different

that's not illegal either, as long as you aren't making any money off of it

They actually do have say over what he's done with it because they leased it to him.

do somebody actually know how the 'purrari' logo was?
-nevermind found it-

I don't think ferarri does a whole lot of leasing. most people who buy their cars probably have enough money to buy one straight-up
