Author Topic: Ferrari threatened "cease and desist" on Deadmau5 over "Purrari 458"  (Read 7700 times)

You're making a joke out of a very serious piece of machinery. Hopefully you don't run any marketing companies, do you?
It's like one out of how many cars they make
They really shouldn't care. In fact this would bring them more publicity than not

no, but I don't think you do either
Even if I didn't, the brown townogy was still completely terrible and wrong.
nah. if you can't make modifications to a car that you own, why would you be able to use someone else's artistic work for something that represents you? it isn't really an brown townogy though. it's just that one offense is as bad as the other

hes not allowed to talk stuff on twitter if he gave in so easily.
hes a loving pusillanimous individual

did he even try to dispute it? that's what I wanna know. because I'm almost certain he would've gotten out of it without having to change anything if he did

he didnt want to mess with the italians

Plus I dont think hes changing the paint job

Rally why the forget are you so butthurt over someone who wanted to do what they wanted with their car? It's a loving pain job (one that was easily removable, I might add). He didn't loving murder someone. Sorry it's sacrilege to your handicapped auto-reiligion.

He did. It's a plain white Ferrari now.

and this is why i own an alfa romeo
sorry i had too i'll leave now

it wasn't paint, it was just a wrap. he did remove it though, according to those tweets

So if you made a company from the ground up with your own sweat, blood and tears built on the finest automobile engineering west of the Mississippi, and some douche cannoe disc jockey decides he's going to take a gigantic stuff on it and cruise around town showing it off for a popularity stunt, you're just going to be completely fine with that? After all, I have several other cars that haven't been stuff on yet. So what's the big deal right?

Think about it from Ferrari's perspective. stuff's loving cringeworthy, eugh.

Right because the ionizing radiation hazard symbol is a true work of art and is a brand name for a line of top-of-the-line automobiles used in multi-million dollar funded racing campaigns.

Nah. These are completely two different instances and your brown townogy doesn't work at all. It would be different if I changed the trefoil to a silhouette of Katia and then started using it on all of my radiohazardous experiments talking about how the CLP Regulation is just butthurt when they don't like it.

well, I don't think I'd feel any emotions about it, because I was born in 1898 and I've been dead for 26 years. also, italy is very east of the mississippi

so... your copyrights only actually matter if you're rich?

D:!

The point still stands. They deserve to be very proud of their product, it's very impressive, and deserves praise. Not to be the victim of some stuff gimmick. Bad publicity is bad publicity, end of story.

The brown townogy didn't even mention Ferrari. So I'm not sure what your point is with the irrelevant geographical sharpshoot.

so... your copyrights only actually matter if you're rich?

Your copyrights are a token of your intellectual property so you can sell it. The radiation hazard symbol was created by a number of people to ensure the safety of people working in hazardous conditions. The radiation hazard symbol is the intellectual property of nobody.

Bad publicity is bad publicity, end of story.
you are Ferrari. no number of customers who give their cars a nyan cat wrap will have even the slightest impact on your sales. they did this for no reason other than to flex their muscles (which I'm still pretty sure they didn't have in the first place)

guys stop arguing pls

At this point, stupidity seems to have reached its limit and is now threatening to bring the building down.
