For those of you who don't know, I preordered the Sims 4 and don't have high hopes for it. I'll be playing it as soon as it launches and will bash it as soon as I learn that it sucks. What are your last minute thoughts on the game before it launches?

Im excited - That list of things missing from the game that keeps getting posted, at first it scared me but after looking it over a lot of that crap is either never in the basegame or isnt as important as I originally thought.

I think Ill enjoy Sims 4 just as much as I did Sims 3 so no worries here

So from playing the game for about an hour, I have two major problems so far:
  • Forced tutorial - I wouldn't be surprised if you get this for every household you start
  • Stuff you have to unlock by doing jobs - Somehow, they added linearity to an inherently nonlinear game

jesus christ dude just forgetin' return the damn game as soon as it comes out. you've already stated that you wanted to get a refund a few weeks back, but couldn't because EA's digital pre orders are weird, so why even bother with playing it?

You anwsered your own question. Might as well get SOME entertainment out of it

They had that in Sims 2 kinda

Sure, if he was stuck with the game I'd say play it, but I don't think he is. The only thing stopping him from getting a refund (to my knowledge) was that the game hadn't been released yet. Now that it's released, there's nothing stopping him from getting a full refund if he acts quickly, as per Origin's digital refund policy. Why waste time messing around with a crap game when you could be reuniting yourself with your money?

Yep, they had a unique object that unlocked at the end of each career track. It's nothing new.

From what I'm hearing, sounds like The Sims 4 is missing more than just pools and toddlers.

    It's missing an entire game.
