Author Topic: share near death experiences  (Read 4058 times)

i had one (i think?) just now, that was pretty scary. i had a large bag of books (probably 45 or so pounds) that i was lifting up to work on. i dropped it while having it on my chest like a sash, and it fell down my back, pinning my neck to the back of the chair, strangling me. i couldn't lift it up because it was stuck on something, and i still can't tell what. i was stuck like that for about 30 seconds unable to breath, and i eventually got unstuck by pulling a small lever to lower my chair, making it drop 13 inches or so. it was really unpleasant and although i can probably hold my breath a lot longer than that, my vision started fading into blackness and it was a big relief to get unstuck. it would suck if my algebra books killed me.

anyway, share.

almost got run over by a car twice

1 included me chasing a cat as a kid and the guy slid for a meter on gravel
1 included me crossing the street on red not paying attention to where i was walking. car drove past my foot

I've been hung.
Yes. I have been hung. And it was an accident.
Which may sound REALLY stupid.
I was 6 when it happened, and my friends created this "ride" on the swingset that attached from the top of the swingset to your pants. When I got on it, It ripped through my shirt and got stuck on my neck, Hanging me.
Luckily my mom and dad were there to save me, but if they weren't, I don't think I would be here today.

One time I choked on a piece of gum.

Autistic babies like myself, before anyone knew I was autistic, have a strange obsession with trying to kill themselves. I have too many occurrences for me to name.

bro, do you even autism?

This thread made me realize I have nearly died a lot.

There was this one time I was skateboarding down a hill, car turned on the road unexpectedly. While attempting to stop my wheels bit and I went flying down the street, I bounced and grinded against the pavement. There was this one really odd moment of clarity when I came insanely close to the car and things felt like they slowed down.

When I finally came to a stop I was barely able to catch my breath, people were all around me and as expected I felt like stuff.

Of course the moment someone started talking about calling an ambulance I popped up off the road and walked away, it's bizarre how as a kid I feared how my parents would react to a situation like this that I put myself in more danger.

Needless to say I didn't really bomb anymore hills after this experience.

I tried to climb a tree to get one of those pre-cicada things, which I succeeded and still have to this day as a pet. I fell about 15 feet and landed on a branch which cut me pretty good. If I hadn't fallen on that branch the other one sticking out of the ground would have pierced my jugular.

Its name is Ninjask.
