I think that the hardware warranty should not change based on the contents of your hard drive.

right, but if you decide to mess around with the OS and brick the phone, that doesn't really count as an accident or unexpected tragedy

As I said before, I have never heard of a way to permanently brick an iPhone by modifying files on the hard drive. You can always just plug it into a computer and reinstall the OS.

not always. sometimes it bricks to the point where itunes or your pc doesnt see it.

ye

again exemplifying how if you screw up the software it's something that can/should be handled on your part

So if you modify the OS, it shouldn't change your warranty, but the warranty should only replace hardware if it's beyond the point of repair.
So the only way the warranty could replace your phone is if the hardware is damaged.
Sounds good to me.

Once again though, none of this will ever happen because people would stop needing to buy as much things from apple.

If you manage to do that, then you should not have enabled dev mode in the first place.

if you modify the software it's your problem. if you install anything from the app store, it's your problem. apple is a big pernus about a lot of this, ya, but neither of those things are their problems

ultimately, they offer a deal to replace a broken device for a set period of time and that's it

If it's so bad then give it to me and get something better. OR, show us a video of you destroying it.
Because I am going to take a sledgehammer to a $570 phone instead of trying to do something logical...like sell it maybe.

And yes I did complain about icons. Icons on android are so inconsistent. Some are round, square, etc. On iOS they have rounded edges and all the icons have the same iOS 7/8 theme. Aesthetics mean a lot to me, so the iPhone is the logical choice between the OS and the hardware. Oh and on android you don't have as much control over notifications like you do on iOS which annoyed me a lot more than I thought it would.

To be honest the iWatch looks pretty cool. People are criticizing the digital crown but I think it's a pretty cool feature. Anyway the watch looks like it will be a big hit, I love how they implemented it.

I'm using the MIUI ROM right now with the extended icon packs, so most of my font page icons are pretty hot. Also, rounded corners.

Congrats, you had to use third party software to make android look good.

My bad, I read so many rumors about it that I keep calling it iWatch.

just download an icon pack

Oh well that's cool, too bad no one really cares about you and your cheap fingerprint scanning phone that probably doesn't even work correctly.
Haha some handicaps never change.
