Author Topic: Cat keeps coming in my backyard  (Read 1613 times)

So, this one cat keeps coming in our backyard, and it's quite annoying. Sure, it's cute for your feline friend to walk into your yard, but when you have a dog and walk your dog in your backyard, it's not fun.
We have a HUGE backyard so we don't need to walk our dog away from the house.
The dog barks at the cat everytime he's there and basically doesn't go to the bathroom for a long time, which doesn't quite fit with our fast-paced schedule (new yorkers).
Also, my mom has a state license to rehabilitate wildlife, and we have a squirrel cage out there so they get used to the outside. They can get killed by the cat.
Also, the cat left 2 dead mice in the backyard. Not a nice sight.
How can I scare this cat away for good without hurting him?

use your dog obviously

Nominate him for the ice bucket challenge

forgot to mention it runs anytime we get close to it or when the dog does
it can still kill the squirrels while we're not looking though
it's generally annoying

just let your dog loose around the backyard 24/7. itll get it sooner or later, by the throat.

hurricane sandy knocked down the fence so we have to walk her until we can repair it
my dad who was in charge kinda got lazy and was like "forget it"

Just kill it
if he did that, imagine just how bad he'd have all the local liberals on his butt

attach buttered toast to the back of it and watch it fly away.

He'd have to pick the cat up and drop it.
Buttered toast doesn't just fly off homing in on the ground, otherwise it'd launch itself from your kitchen counter.

wait, people really eat cats too...? thought it was just dogs, and that was usually just in asia.

yeah try not to kill the cat, as dumb as the owner probably is, it's a loving richard move. Does the cat have a collar?
