I play GTA Online a few times a week on an HD TV and I don't see many differences. Maybe the animals and stuff, but this isn't very new. The only thing that really pops is the night time scenes.

what makes you think its the same is that the trailers use more advanced graphics than the actual ps3/xbox game (which is the graphics for ps4 and xbox one)

since the ps4 and xbox one game footage looks the same as the trailers, you see no difference.
(what you play on ps3/xbox does not look like this)

also no more playing in 720p anymore (assuming next gen wont)
