Have you ever actually heard a record through a non crappy sound system? Sounds way better than anything digital, and I think you'll find many people agree. Put the math aside and just do a listening test.

Have you ever heard digital music through a non-crappy sound system? Everything is more crisp and clear than a record.
Let's take a look at the facts here, the pure facts:

• Records have significantly less dynamic range (55-70 dB) than digital music (upwards of 120 dB with dithering)
• Records wear out over time and are not recreated perfectly each time, digital is recreated perfectly every single time you play it and doesn't wear out
• Often-played records have little to no highs in them (12-20Khz)
• Digital music doesn't have this problem
• Decent record players are more expensive than digital audio players of the same quality because of the extra hardware
• Continuing on the last point, records suffer from inaccuracies in both the speaker of the player and the needle.
• Digital, again, does not suffer from this.
• A 64GB thumbdrive can hold upwards of 21 days of audio on it in the space of less than a quarter of a cubic inch for only 37 dollars.
• You can store around 4 minutes of audio per dollar out of a vinyl record. You can store almost 51,000 minutes per dollar from that 64gb thumb drive i listed in the last point.
  That's 12 thousand times as much.

I hate it when people praise records like they're the best thing ever... they're not.

If there is a song I don't like then I don't like that one song, but that doesn't mean I hate the entire genre.

Although I will admit most modern pop is trash.

even being a christian myself, I can agree with you to an extent
