it's a loving cat with a semi-mad expression on its face. i could understand people losing their stuff about this if the cat could tap-dance or fly an aircraft, but seriously people, it's a god-damn cat.
In the film, set to air Nov. 29, Plaza will voice "a lonely feline living in a mall petshop," the network said in a statement.
great loving plot guys, might as well have a movie about the guy who types novels on his laptop in a starbucks.
Because she never gets chosen by customers, she develops a sour outlook on life, until one day during the holidays, a very special 12-year-old girl named Chyrstal enters the pet store and falls in love with her after realizing she is the only person who can hear this unique cat talk," the statement continued. "As the two develop a close friendship during the holiday rush, Grumpy reluctantly thwarts the kidnapping of an exotic dog she dislikes and, on Christmas Eve, rescues Chyrstal after the mall closes. Through her adventures, will Grumpy learn the true meaning of Christmas? Or will it be, in her words, the 'Worst. Christmas. Ever?
this plot sounds so loving stale it isn't even remotely easy to make comedic jokes about. seriously. it's just a mish-mash of christmas movie cliques slammed into a loving piece of glass with a "hilarious cat!!!!" thrown in. yet the media is probably gonna eat it up because it's "trendy" and "funny".
Plaza, 30, seems excited for the part, tweeting an image of the famous feline (below).
