Saying that a writer for a respectable publication was criticized for something as awful as saying that victims of harassment were responsible for that harassment is a serious claim, and it is a claim that was never in the source provided. Meanwhile, Tarc claims that his tweets were "without merit" and further, in Drmies words "Tarc is yelling at Auerbach via twitter." This is a disgrace. I am recommending that Tarc step away from this article permanently, and that if he does not do so voluntarily and continues with this kind of POV warrior behavior that he be topic-banned from this article. There are plenty of good Wikipedians here to look after the article - those who have been engaged in this as a battleground need to leave now.

more of a "get lost or i'll kick your teeth out" kind of thing but still equivelant

Good

you guys know members of gamergate tracked down the guy sending half (Who knows how many, he has countless sock puppet accounts) of the threats to anita sarkeesian and kotaku(?) wrote an article saying that it's still our fault the threats happened in the first place, even though the guy has been doing it before gamergate

I'd like the source for this pls

It's not a terrible article, I see no shame.
It's Kotaku, therefore anything that runs through its servers is purified trash that needs to be bashed at every turn by the edgiest of the Blockland Forum.

I don't see that article blaming gamergaters for the harasser.
now that i re-read it they dont say that exactly, but here's an example:
"Yet at the same time, some Gamergaters have used Twitter to facilitate a culture of fear, where speaking out against the hashtag or even just drawing their attention can lead to a flood of unwanted attention and notifications. For anyone in gaming who uses Twitter to network, promote their work, and interact with friends, it can be exhausting and demoralizing to find oneself on the receiving end of what has become Twitter's Eye of Sauron."

same bullstuff kotaku as usual, can't even be grateful like damn
