The great Bao undertook the three brightest scholars from his school of Kai to become his personal disciples. For years he would be locked away in the school, where none but the disciples, and in times of need, the parliament members, would be able to visit him.

Of the Gungixao, a man named Chi-Lee, a scholar of the greatest prestige whom discovered that among the consistent path of the stars there exist several that seem to move on their own whim. These Living Stars, he believed, could be used to more accurately predict the seasons and was heralded by all as the wisest aside from Bao himself. Lee was the First Disciple.

Of the Winouak, Panaklo, a youth of prominent intelligence whom grew up by the shores and was able to predict the tides with accuracy based on watching the rise and set of the moon. Upon attending the college he proved more adapt at learning and argumentation than the majority of academics whom attempted to tutor him. They saw him as unruly while the wise Bao saw him as  "inquisitive per vitally imperative"*indirect translation that he couldn't live without knowledge*. Bao took Panaklo as his Second Disciple.

Of the Titchwahk, Uathinata, widely regarded for skills in debate and showing profound wisdom in many of her endeavors. She divided up the year into discernable months yeilding the best times for planting, the snows melting afterwards watering the crop with precision timing. She then harnessed the water to further disperse it among the crops equal to the needs of each farmer through irrigation and water barriers that merely required attendants to reset daily. Bao recognized her wisdom and appointed her to be his Third Disciple.

Quote from: Transcript from 'The Day of Night'
And so on the fourteenth day until the first melt of spring, the nation did gather at Ru to hear Bao.

And he did appear unto them for the first time in ten years and began to speak. And he spoke of troubling many troubling things. He spoke of an upcoming time of darkness where the future of the people would be tested. He said that only through solidarity would the people survive these trials. He spoke of traitors and oppressors. He spoke of famine and fire.

In the middle of his discussion did his Disciples begin to quarrel. Chi-Lee was outraged that such things would happen and demanded they take preparation to prevent these events. Panaklo argued that these tribulations would be required as with the tide, the fate of humanity must too ebb and flow with time and the moons.

Angered at the interruption, Bao raised his hand towards the sun that it should be shrouded. And it was that the whole of the sun did go dark and Ru was in shadow. The Disciples became hushed and all the people stood in awe.

After a time the people became fearful, and Bao spoke to calm them. He said that while these trials will be no doubt be significant, they need not fret, for as with every dusk where there is night, there would be a dawn that there is a day. There will be a future for the nation of Ru'sh Naal so long as they keep these ideals sacred. To hold life in the highest esteem, to place the rights of others above your own so that they may do the same, and to not take more than one is due.

"So long as the ideals of Bao should live, so shall the Spirit of Bao." said he, and the sun returned to the sky.

Bao turned next to his disciples. He was discraced at the outburst and emotion shown by Chi-Lee, yet was pleased with the acceptance of these prophesies by Panaklo. "For he should believe these prophecies that he should dispatch them" said Bao. Chi-Lee argued that he too believed these prophecies, Bao accepted this yet claimed that enough had been shown to decide who should succeed him.

Bao turned next to the crowd. As he had no children to endow with wisdom, he so doted on his nation as his children. Of all his children the one whom most accepted their inheritance was Panaklo, and for this Panaklo would be Bao.

Chi-Lee became full of spite that while he should be the wisest, he wouldn't be Bao. That in his anger, Chi-Lee did attack Bao in his studies. Panaklo heard the struggle and came to the aid of Bao but was too struck down by the fierce Chi-Lee. Bao was wounded mortally and Chi-Lee captured in the room. Bao, in his dying breath, ordered Chi-Lee to ask forgiveness from Uathinata, that she may pardon his life.

While Chi-Lee was vengeful, he was still obedient and from his cell called for Uathinata. Upon hearing his case she understood his anger. "We must not allow negativity to flow through us, but rather let us transform it into a positive force." She would arrange for his pardon, that he may seek a new life in another land with the lessons learned by his transgressions. They both then heard the voice of Bao, whom claimed great wisdom in the words of Uathinata. For her devotion to his will, she would be Bao.

And so Chi-Lee did head east for Zesisoter, bringing with him one strong ox, two bags of grain, and dried provisions of fish and fruit...

The Great Bao is dead.
Uathinata is Bao.

The Cassian Avalonians establish an official diocese, and pour their efforts into erecting a small cathedral.  Under a new bishop, the diocese begins by solidifying the current region by preaching within the bounds of this region.

They Also draft a flag and send it to the Avalonian government for approval.  In a letter from the bishop, he states that he wishes for the followers of God within this region to still be loyal to the Avalonian Government, and that this region either remains part of the Avalonian mainland, or Avalonia recognizes it as an entirely separate, but still loyal state, much like the Britonic States.  This is left up to the Avalonian Council's discretion, but he stresses that the Christians need more recognition and hospitality in order to call their homeland truly their home.  Several families have already grown apart because of this, and the bishop points out that a nation that will fail to facilitate its people's own will will surely grow weak.  Whatever honor it may try to uphold, it is a dishonor to itself to turn a blind eye to its own solidarities.

1.)  The Avalonian government has stated that it will allow private worship.  Preachers are asked to desist and forced to if they resist.  Future activity depends on what exactly happens now that the Holy Order (sans Atensia) is no longer completely isolated from Avalonia (50 years are up).

2.)  The Council ponders and debates the matter for some time before reaching a decision.  The request to form a new province is denied.
  • The formation of a new state out of the lands of Avalonia is wholly unacceptable.
  • The formation of a new state requires the appointing of a representative to the AC, and given the ban on Cassians holding office (which will not be reversed - at least not for the time being), this representative would not be able to represent the province.
  • The so-called "people's own will" is not the will of the people - the will of the people was to rampage and destroy the Cassians - an event prevented by the intervention of the Avalonian government.

The Council, in its reply, includes the above list and the following words:
"The loyalty of Avalonian Cassians will undoubtedly remain suspect until one fateful day that will hopefully never come: a day when these men and women must choose between loyalty to Avalonia and loyalty to the will of the ruler of the Cassian Church.  It is not a fortunate truth, but it is so.  Those in your care separated themselves from the rest of Avalonia when they converted under the teachings of radical and seditious foreigners.  Is it any wonder then that they are not trusted as fellow countrymen are?  No blind eye has been turned: you are under the watch of eagles to determine of this 'solidarity' will indeed be the curse that the Council first believed it would be."
In short, the Council isn't convinced that the Cassians didn't come to Avalonia in the first place to overthrown everything and doesn't fully trust Avalonian converts or want them because of it.  But if they don't do anything to make things worse (like trying to separate themselves from Avalonia), their situation will not degenerate.

Following this, military presence in the Cassian area of Avalonia is stepped up, both to ensure that no bid for independence happens, and to protect the Cassian Avalonians from any attacks rooting from the understanding that the Council will not rid the land of the Cassians as many hard liners would like.

Any new Avalonian traders coming into Galaumia notice the men with the AEIU and curved line on their shirts have taken over the major city in the west as well.

1.)  The Avalonian government has stated that it will allow private worship.  Preachers are asked to desist and forced to if they resist.  Future activity depends on what exactly happens now that the Holy Order (sans Atensia) is no longer completely isolated from Avalonia (50 years are up).
So far, the Cassian Faith has grown most strongly within this region, but only due to non-ordained travelers that have chosen to spread the word.  Outside of this region, only a small margin of Avalonians are of the Cassian Christian faith.

2.)  The Council ponders and debates the matter for some time before reaching a decision.  The request to form a new province is denied.
  • The formation of a new state out of the lands of Avalonia is wholly unacceptable.

The Diocese of Avalonia finds the statement of the council to be dishonorable.  In a statement, the bishop responds by pointing out that in this statement, Avalonia has made it clear in its latest point that it no longer considers ethnic Avalonians, even though their beliefs are different to be entitled to a will or to be recognized as full Citizens.

Judging the events in the south, Erinaum sends investigators south to try to find out what is going on.  They are sent to each of the 5 nations south of Ezbátu, but are sent separately.  (Mlockha, send me info on intelligence as you see fit.)

Alright. Info may be hard to get in the capital, considering it was burning but now isn't, and the walls are still up. It'll be easier in the western city though.

I'm on my phone now, so I can't read any bubble text if the blue text has it.

The Council responds that Cassians are indeed full citizens, otherwise it would have allowed mobs to run rampant through their lands, or simply have expelled them for the upheaval that their faith caused upon entry into Avalonia.  It is simply the case that the Cassians are widely believed to have loyalty to the Cassian Church, a foreign entity, and no foreign loyalties can be tolerated within local positions of power.  If it is dishonorable, in the bishop's eyes to demand absolute loyalty, it is a million times more so to call caution folly and foreign power solidarity.

When news of Galaumia's state reaches the Council, they send people over there for the sole purpose of clandestinely getting information on the political state of the region.

Work on the proposed road goes well, and multiple local leaders have pitched in to help bring increased commerce and wealth to their lands.

You do notice all of this upheaval from a few bad apple Atenisian missionaries was like, 30 years ago.

Stop going on and on about the beginning. Atenisian missionaries aren't there any more. The operation is lead by Albiton.

Avalonian Cassians that were exiled to Atenisia go back into Avalonia, but primarily live inside Cassian Avalonia.

Atenisian missionaries, now familiar with the ethics of the region, arrive in Espul.

They scarily rolemodel Albiton missionaries, probably learning from their ways of spreading the Christian religion in a kinder, peaceful way.

Having been on the brink of war over a matter does not leave the mind quickly.  You also have to remember that the missionaries from Albiton weren't in there very long; most converts did so under Atensian tutelage - something considered duly dangerous.

Also, I don't know that Albiton has reestablished a presence - something which Avalonia is very happy about; any Cassian activities are local at this point.

Avalonia sends a request to Albiton to allow Avalonian scholars to peruse first century christian works and accounts of these people.

News of the illustrious and centuries-old Vålderesk School reaches Ru'sha.

The request is granted.

Albiton is sending missionaries primarily to the already Cassian Christian region.  Anything outside of that zone is at this time discouraged.

A rumor spreads that the Ezbatan Council has received news back from Galaumia.  The Ezbatan Council is currently debating a course of action by the news that is received.

Marivus responds to Avalonia saying that troubled times are happening, and that this action could quite possibly incline the already slippery slope of political events happening now.

(The Cassian Christian Church is influencing this region.)

Espul agrees.

Update because I don't want to spam posts.  No, these are not REs.

Irajinad and Osamar without warning send their advanced armies into Galaumia in order to further establish order.  The armies crush any forces that oppose them and take the entire territory in 5 years.  Kantauem grows silent once more.  Outsiders are not permitted to enter.

Haman sends a distress call to Sjinai, worrying that it may be next.  Sjinai refuses to provide aid because it doesn't want to get involved and wishes to remain peaceful.  Sjinai, in turn, warns Ezbátu that there is war in the south.  Ezbátu remains suspicious about the events in the south, and sends more spies to attempt to learn more about the political situation that is causing Sjinai to worry.

The news of Irajinad and Osamar "taking over" Galaumia and possibly threatening Haman spreads to Avalonia.

Rumors of political instability and corruption in Albiton spread around the globe like wildfire.

Stockland-Aspidis and Burellis tear up each other's peace treaties.  The two nations are now at the brink of war.

The Aldegarian Army and Navy begin to collapse completely as loss after loss haunt their lines.  Hlaomann forces charge forward at an increasingly devastating rate, now beginning to ravage Aldegarian homelands.  The chance of complete conquest is high.

Romicia gets angry at Caprica for failing to send support as Ajakistan's armies march deeper into Romician territory.  Free East Caprica requests a non-aggression pact with Ajakistan, and this is approved.

A civil war begins in Marivus as those of the lower to middle class, most of which are Cassian Christian, enter a weapons cache and steal hundreds of the army's weapons.

Civilians declare religious war on the polytheistic and stubborn leadership.  The civilian force calls for aid from the Holy Nations.

The Bequelands and Banishira, out of nowhere, sign a peace treaty.  The two nations suddenly appear to be friends after nearly a hundred years of war.

Lotavik's invasion of Saobar is proving moderately successful.  The advance is fast, but at a moderately high loss of life.

The elderly Uathinata Bao wanders the halls of Vålderesk admiring the great works occuring. Inspired by the voice of Bao she approaches the head of the school with an offer to encourage scholastic achievements. She would have established a system wherein students can freely travel between the two schools under the same locally funded public tution, and scholars be granted rights under the Parliament of Scholars in Ru'sh Naal territories.

After a long time of peaceful existance between Ru'sha and the Mahowaeae, they are finally granted a seat in parliament, as are the Winouak, upon the founding of the Second Parliament of Ru'sha.

Contact is made with two more tribes, however there are currently no attempts to normalize them into Rustuffe culture.

Mawahae is founded on the Mahowaeae home island in the center of the Estic ocean. This city built on an ancient Mahowaeae settlement becomes quickly crucial to Rustuffe oceanic trade operations.

The first trade embassies are sent to Lotavik and Hlaohamarr through the frigid northern sea.

Hundreds of scouts are sent to report on Ajakistan positions and numbers. While it may be too late to save Romician, supplies and weapons are sent to support their war effort anyways. The eastern cowards will receive nothing, and traders are discouraged from conducting trade there.

New, more specialized units are being trained for warfare.

I updated some numbers, are they okay? Also I'm really sorry for being so inactive, It's really hard to type stuff on my small phone screen.

Avalonia sends an ambassador to wherever the Holy Nations collect their representatives/leaders together to talk of Marivus.  In short, Avalonia does not wish for the Holy Nations to interfere directly or indirectly in the nation's civil war, and in return it will not either.  It is suggested that a provision be made so that the Holy Nations and Avalonia may both take in refugees and all that fun stuff.  It is hoped that if these measures can be agreed upon, the nation can choose its own fate and that our two 'empires' can in turn avoid direct conflict.

Through secret means, some Galaumian nobles loyal to the old regime, as well as forces under their control, are smuggled out of Galaumia through Haman and the wilderness beyond to to Avalonian colony.  Efforts to build the road redouble, and Haman is pressed to put some resources and manpower to building the road on their end.  Avalonian forces prepare to travel to the colony, depending on what the Holy Order does regarding Marivus.

Avalonian scholars eventually return from Albiton satisfied that they have achieved their goals.  They return with exact copies of several histories from the first century that describe first century Christianity, and later histories pertaining to the Cassian faith.  They meet secretly with the Council to discuss Cassian doctrine and their level of adherence to first century beliefs and practices, and how that can and may affect Avalonian relations with its Cassian citizens and member nations of the Holy Order.  Spies in Avalonia find it increasingly difficult to get information in and out of Galaumia and resort to using carrier pigeons.

After a great wedding in Kossbrun and another modeled after it in Cathair Arda, the bond is official and people in the Britonic States and Espul are happy with the proceedings.

Atenisia expresses in a Holy Order meeting that it strictly believes that the Holy Order needs to defend all Cassian regions and regimes. Avalonia needs to butt out, it believes, of a religious revolution.

Also, the Holy Order "capital/sooper l33t meeting place" is currently in Athens, since Atenisia created the Holy Order, but the heart of the Cassian church and the Pope lives in whatever Albiton's capital is.

isn't that essentially the point of the capital

isn't that essentially the point of the capital
The Holy Order/Holy Nations is an alliance that Atenisia started.

The Cassian Catholic Church is based in Albiton's capital. Christianity and the Catholic religion was born in Albiton.
