Very well then.  It's as good as over, so, here we go.
Last REs shoulda been labeled 20

Random Events No. 21

Estrand:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Ezbatan States:  Ashibia seems to be accepting of the Ezbatan States' general xenophobia, but is welcoming toward the easing of tensions.  (NPC: 60%)

Atenisia:  Many Atensian politicians are concerned that the war in South Calzone isn't drawing to a swift close despite the Holy Nations' involvement, and desire a withdrawal followed by swarms of missionaries.  There is a divide between these politicians, and those in more prominent positions, especially generals, desiring that the war continue.  (POL:  20%)

Avalonia:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Galaumia:  Irajinad hints that it may be spreading around some of its better known and less potent military technologies to the other Islamic Empire emirates.  (MIL:  60%)

Caprica:  Capricans have restored a sense of law and order, and drawing off of the growing economy to the North, have managed to bring their nation back to a state of economic growth and relative peace.  Marauder bands and the like begin to disappear.   (ECN:  100%)

Yeah event over that was stupid.

Conept was good, just didn't move along fast enough.

More and more fortifications are built on Turtle Island, and its tunnel network similar to that of Nazgar is expanded and dug deeper.  Nazgar's tunnels receive a good cleaning and some renovations and expansions as well.

Dreibetungist roving priests are sent out through the New Union and elsewhere (the Southern World - corner to corner) to spread and strengthen the faith.  A major prophecy has been fulfilled involving the world not ending at the hands of the antigods as a result of a mystic ritual performed by Dreibetungist priests.  Prior to the completion of the ritual, some large storms were brewing and such, but following the ritual most of these dissipated (just wanted to tie the alternate history into things).  This does not happen by the will of the state, but by the direction of the Dreibetungist High Priest.

The New Union's armed forces structure undergoes minor alterations to include morale officers whose job it is to keep morale high and ensure that every soldier is loyal to the New Union in as unobtrusive but supporting a way as possible.

Feasts between representatives and leaders of the New Union and those of its neighbors, as well as the giving of gifts, continue.

Will edit with updated map.
The War near Hlaohlamarr ends with no decided victor and Espir takes some land to the East.

what's classified as a "good bit"

Enough to be a pain, but not enough to be so crippling as to prevent you from defending yourself.

The Atenisian king urges politicians that the fight in South Calzone must continue, but decides that such a war cannot be such a focus for Atenisia, and thus offers to start public work projects.

The Great Bao wakes from a terrible dream of things to come and travels to the Navaro province to seek council from ancient ruins recently unearthed nearby, after hearing news of a great evil depicted in the hieroglyphics which reminded him of his vision.

The Great Bao beseeches his brother, Honorable President Dyon Kim, to place the military into a state of alert. He points to depictions in the ruins of a great daemon that had once dominated over the natives of the region with an iron fist until being banished by the united efforts of a long lost band of heroes.

Dyon Kim feels that Wei Kim Bao has let the pressures of his title go to his head, and through some sort of hero complex is attempting to create a non-existant threat.

The Bao gathers a select few of the most advanced Alchemists, Engineers, and Astronomers as well as several Tei gifted in translation, and creates an emergency defense-of-the-nation guild which begins to investigate the ruins and their entombed mythologies which may shed insight into the trials ahead.

In front of the Bao, on a temple altar appears a black smoke, and a voice fills the Bao's head.

The Bao remains in a trance for three straight days without being able to be disturbed dispite the best efforts of his companions and completely neglecting food, water, or even sleep.

At the dusk of the third day, the Bao awoke from this state in a terrible freight. After being calmed by his associates he began to relay a tale of how the whole world began to burn at the hands of three great evils, and only through the combined efforts of the people were they able to fight the monsters but still many lives were lost.

In an effort to spare all those whom had perished due to the rage of the daemons, the Bao had consulted every method of wisdom and science known, and came across a method to restore the world to its rightful state, however such would cost the Bao greatly. While hesitant, the Bao had executed this secretive plan, and turned back the tides of fate, thus himself perishing in the future that never was.

The Bao was greatly joyous at his own survival of the ordeal, for he thought surely his life would have had to been taken in this world as well. He returned to the capitol to share his great news with his younger brother, only to be met with a city stricken with grief over the loss of their great leaders.

Despite his best efforts, his brother Dyon Kim had died after a terrible bout of pneumonia whilst the Bao was investigating these ruins.

After the ceremony commemorating the life of the great president, The Bao pulls aside his nephew in a private meeting to discuss his visions.

As there would be no threat from daemons as told in the prophecy, the military would not need to be put into the state of alarm initially planned, however Wei Kim Bao insists that Honorable President Wau Lis'ei-Kim Kai heed the messages of the prophecy and seek to reestablish ties with foreign nations.

Diplomats are sent to the Oriental Crowns and Ezbatu to reestablish non-aggression pacts and discuss the possibility of trade between the regions.

Galaumia:  Irajinad hints that it may be spreading around some of its better known and less potent military technologies to the other Islamic Empire emirates.  (MIL:  60%)
Galaumia asks what they mean by this hint? Do they wish to make Galaumia jealous or ask for tribute in exchange for these technologies.

Galaumia moves upwards with calvary members to claim the land between Reurgureta and Galaumia.

Nobles are swayed by the voice of the Ateni king and are quieted.  Some still feel discontented, but very few voice it.

Galaumian cavalry encounters a surprisingly strong resistance, mostly of light cavalry faster than the Galaumians, which is able to use raiding tactics to plague the invading force before finally being defeated in a surprise attack.  Galaumia has acquired the land, but must do something to keep it.

I'm using dice to help determine this, primarily to take some bias out of events.  If you prefer I do otherwise, yell.

Honorable President Wau Lis'ei-Kim Kai, under the guidance of his uncle the Great Bao, sets aside a public fund out of the recent surplus in economic holdings, establishing a way to repay the families of the previously under-payed laborers over the coming years.

While the Kai college system remains private, once again students may be accepted by recommendation from the state in repayment to their service of the nation or demonstration of intellectual proficiency as nominated by their tutors during basic childhood education.

Despite pressures to develop further Kai colleges closer to the southern cities, President Wau refuses to overuse state funds during this recovery period. Instead he beseeches the neighbor state of Teijina to once again aid financially in the construction of a new Kai University.

This one would be closer to the Teijin people allowing easier access, placed in the Titchwahk province, township of Pei, the new facility would be open for the first time in many years to foreign students with Teijin being given the majority of profits over enrollment costs for the first fifty years after the proposed college's completion.
[If a moderator would so kindly rule on Teijin's opinion of this proposal]

Galaumian cavalry encounters a surprisingly strong resistance, mostly of light cavalry faster than the Galaumians, which is able to use raiding tactics to plague the invading force before finally being defeated in a surprise attack.  Galaumia has acquired the land, but must do something to keep it.
Galaumia sends Imams (Leader of prayer) & Khatibs (Preachers) to convert the populace. They then flood the province with commerce to build spires & mosques, and develop infrastructure. They also elect governors through the people, but make sure they are loyal to Galaumia/The Islamic Empire.

What year is it supposed to be now?  The holiday event threw me off.

Turned 823 Dec. 25.  Holiday event ran from then until Jan. 1 at noon.  Today's the sixth, so it's now either 858 or 865.

Avalonia continues to arm and fortify Tutrle Island, and Dreibetungist missionaries become a common sight on the mainland near it, and elsewhere in the Southern World.

The New Union begins to arrange marriages between its royal families and those of Ormica, The Saxon League, and Graniaton.  Feasts and gift giving involving these countries continues.

Laws are passed requiring townships to maintain genealogies of their residents, as well as a list of residents.  Efforts are made to make comprehensive lists, and many are happy to have their family trees made.

Universities funded by both the state undergo reform to allow students to specialize, should they choose, in specific studies along with some other "non-essential" studies, rather than give them a broad but shallow understanding of many things and a somewhat deeper understanding of one.  Students still have the choice to get a broad but shallow education.  The Order of the Golden Lion continues its efforts with its small colleges and educating the population in trades, crafts, business, fighting, and above all, honor; these colleges continue to be by invitation and, contrary to the expectations of many, have invited many an impoverished son and raised him to glory.

Ezbátu, still getting over its xenophobia towards old friends, accepts the R'ush offer, and proposes to the Western Oriental Crowns that a nonaggression pact be established, along with resuming trade.

Honorable President Wau decrees a national historical archive be established in order to allow future generations to learn the lessons of the past. Master Scribe, Lana't Kai, is tasked with assembling the bredth of cultural and historical knowledge of the land to this point.

I have reached the 20,000 charater count on my Nation's Page and thus will be depositing the historical archives to this page in order to free up room and streamline things.

National History of Rustuffe Administrations

The First Parliament of Ru'sha:
355 AD - 437 AD

Upon arriving at the Kastwata capitol of Ru, Taijin Bao set his first goal to be the establishment of a representative government where the opinions of each person matters. In order to provide the efficiency of legislation of his former nation, Bao wished for each discernible body of people to have an officiator to speak on their behalf. As such Bul Tiel was chosen to represent the citizens of Nong-Ke, Cao Wen would represent the farmers of Gungixao, and lastly Lue Zei to represent those affiliated with laboring and construction. Natchacolo and Parpor each were chosen to represent their respective tribes, however there is some contention over the jurisdiction of the farmers who were working in the Ru'sh coast region prior to the formation of the confederacy due to the decision to not base representation on location rather than governal affiliation.

The Second Parliament of Ru'sha:
440AD - 455AD

Under the guidance of Uathinata Bao, the government began their first reformation.
While the intention of the establishment of the government under Taijin Bao had been the influence of the people, Uathinata Bao did not feel enough had been done to give power to the citizens. As such, she divided the parliaments of scholars and laborers into two camps, giving the wise Lue Zei control over the scholars, and as such, the whole of the school of Ru'sh Kai. This reformandum also incorporated the tribes Mahowaeae and Winoak into their legislative jurisdiction under two new representatives. The system was also further adjusted to give each speaker further direct influence over the policies concerning his/her appointed peoples. During this period, Rona Kai, a scholar of the national college, served as interim national speaker.

The National Democratic Parliament at Ru'sha
455AD - 571AD

Following a recent surge in population around 450 AD, many viewed that the government was not able to accurately represent the wishes of the people, as would be the will of Bao. As such a five year census was conducted to elect speakers for each major city and population of peoples, such that all would have a representative. To further include the opinion of the people in the conduct of their own governance, there was established the lobby of concepteurs such that induviduals with enough public endorsement would be able to pitch propositions to the parliament to promote popular legislation. As well a representative of the people would be elected to further facilitate the other bodies of legislation and ensure no one speaker would gain too much power in the parliament. The first citizen tasked with such a challenge was the great and wise Lue Zei.

After Zei's death at a ripe old age, Dyoeng Sun, the Bao at the time, was chosen by the people to take the role of representative. In having to dedicate further time to the research of longevity, Dyoeng Sun Bao handed the role off to Wutesi who served with wisdom securing a military infrastrure capable of defending the empire. Upon his rejuvenation, The Immortal Dyoeng Sun Bao returned to his position as representative of people.

The Republic of Ru'sh Naal
571AD - 640AD

After the death of the once immortal Dyoeng Sun Tei, it was seen that the current body of legislature was not up to date with the demands of the current nation, particularly after its spectacular fumble of handling the ZTB and attempt to found a similar model at it's holdings in Atlantia. Many felt the government didn't accurately reflect the will of the people, nor did it respond readily enough to the demands of society. In order to rectify the situation, the parliament was divided into two houses, the primary house laying down the majority of the legislation and brown townyzing the proper course of action in society, while the lower house, being directly elected by the people would voice their opinions to what legislation would be proposed and elect those serving in the in the primary house.

Under the structure however, much of the military control was seized by the newly introduced and highly religious Wereu tribe. The tribe facilitated an unwarranted war, which lead to the dissolution of the republic as the various provinces began to become increasingly frustrated with the war. During this time many research documents were damaged as well, and the civilwar ended with Wereu taking the capitol and the remainder of the populace aligning themselves with the Navaro peoples whom facilitated an end to the war with Orshkal.

The Ru'sh Naal Union
640AD - 781AD

The Navaro tribe was key in the formation of the union. In the midst of an unpopular war, they joined the nation under the clause that they help end the war in a peaceful manner, something that was achieved in under ten years, however angering the Wereu whom then turned their attack against the nation and seizing its capitol. Under the guidance of the Navaro, the city was peacefully handed over to the rouge nation, and an appropriate border developed, and restoration efforts started. The previous port town of Daijoua was converted to the capitol, however having received heavy damage in the war the nation still relied much upon the ports of Teijina, which had recently seceded from the nation to form it's own city-state.

After a hundred forty years however the Union became plagued with corruption, and money was spent on unpopular projects such as bhuddist temples and the like. During a sweep of reforms and rebellions over a few short years the majority of the nation pledged their allegience to the honorable Kim family to lead them out of the finanical dispair their previously indicisive government had wrought.

The Empire of The People of Ru'sh Naal
816AD - 956AD

After a sweep of reforms led by the workingclass-centric Hai Kim Tei'Kai, a more structured and moderated governmental system was established in order to properly redistribute resources as necessary to the people, and provide for their defense and maintain public amenities and utilities. Despite his overall popularity and eventual election to position of President during the last years of the Union, Hai Kim never actually led the country, having died the night of his inauguration.

In his stead, his second son Dyon Kim took up the mantel of Honorable President (his eldest, Wei Kim, being the current Bao, refused the title) and completely turned the country around out of it's state of disaster. His stringent planning and dedication to minimalism allowed the government to regain lost funds and being repaying laborers whom had long been under-payed for their duties to the nation.

The government underwent a series of violent reforms as well as many old leaders were called out for their hoarding or abuse of power or wealth, and were either kicked out of the nation or outright executed. The structure of power would see that any level of corruption can be quickly and adequately dealt with, while the wisdom of the nations leaders may still act in their best respects unhindered by the bureaucratic mess that was the old parliament. Unfortunately Dyon Kim was taken by pneumonia in the year 830 before he could see his governmental vision fullfilled, and it was his son, the wise Wau Lis'ei-Kim Kai that first served as the leader of The Empire of The People of Ru'sh Naal
. After many years of rule seeing the profit of the nation and an flourish of internal society and culture due to isolation from increasingly intimidated neighbor states, Wau Lis'ei-Kim Kai passes, leaving the throne to the son of the late Wei Kim Bao, Guanzun Kim Tei'Kai.

Taijoua
956AD - 998AD

Following the Rustuffe unification wars, the monk Gungxi who had secured victory for the Wereuan generals was appointed leader over all of the provinces in order to facilitate the more efficient working of the lands and production for the nation. Gungxi immediately began with a serious of violent reforms, seizing property from citizens seemingly at random and striking down any people who dared to question his command (or were suspected of questioning his command, at one point he even has his own wife executed).

Gungxi declares himself lord Buddha over the nation and decrees he will lead the people back into a state of unity, one which the Kim and his Baoist puppets had long since tarnished.

Ru'yeo
1000AD - Present

Following the ursurption of Gungxi, allied forces appointed Hwan Ghou Kai to oversee the formation of a new Ru nation that would see to the equal aid and duty of all it's citizens.

Rustuffe Peoples
Ru'sh Naal is made up of many peoples of different nationalities, tribeships, and cultures. Best efforts are kept to maintain inter-cultural acceptance and promotion of social history.

Gungixao:
In the year 312 AD, a young nobleman of Gungixao by the name of Taijin Bao inherited his father's position on the court. Immediately he tried to enact policies to aid the citizens of Nong-Ke by diverting taxes to public interests. Lacking the majority to cause these changes, he began to wander the country side to gain the support of his homeland's citizens. Hearing this news, the Gungixao royal family had Bao marked as a traitor to the nation which caused him to go into hiding. They acted too late however, as Bao had already garnered the people's support. Once news arrived that he was alive in the tribes to the east of the Kingdom, the people began their exodus, unable to be stopped by the guards due to their sheer numbers. Overall, nearly a tenth of the population had vacated.
Over the course of a week entire cities emptied as the citizens of Gungixao followed Taijin north to freer lands. The Gungixians make up a decent portion of the population, and often hold more of the scholarly positions than the other member peoples.

Clan Titchwahk:
The first clan contacted by Bao after his expulsion from the kingdom. Taijin Bao had stayed with Natchacolo and her people for several years while in hiding and when news spread that he was alive, the entire tribe of seven thousand joined the Gungixao. The Titchwahk tribe had an electorate system which was one of the primary models for the current democracy. The Titchwahk territory used to encompass Teijina as well, however once the city declared it's independence the remaining portion of the province decided to maintain it's allegiance to the Union.

Clan Kastwata
The largest of the three clans to join the Ru'sh Naal, the Kastwata tribe willingly accepted the people of Nong-Ke into their lands after treaties ensuring the rights of it's citizens by the Kastwata leader Parpor. The fertile slopes of the Kastwata Lands ended up being the perfect location for the wandering people to begin their new hopeful society. Much of the Kastwata land, including that donated to found Ru'sha, was taken by Wereu when it was ejected from the Ru'sh Naal Republic, angering many Rustuffe-aligned Kastwata whom felt the area was their right by heritage.

Clan Winouak
The northernmost tribe in the confederacy, the Winouak are by culture nomadic and have not assimilated to Rustuffe society as well as other tribes, many of the Winouak joined the Wereu once it was ejected from the Republic, however their peoples are still frequently seen in the fronteir regions around the borders of Ru'sh Naal.

Clan Navaro
In an attempt to end to an unpopular war, the Rustuffes reached out to their allies of the Navaro tribe to facilitate the peacetalks between them and their opponents. Afterwards, the Navaro were seen as the best candidates as a role model for the restructuring of Rustuffe Society, and with their incorporation into the nation, the Ru'sh Naal Union was formed. The Navaro are highly traditional and greatly care for the environment and it's inhabitants.
