Well... It's SHAPING up

Working out the collision a bit, and deciding on the scale of the actually item. I can make it a bit bigger (and more detailed) than the old so it makes it more (interesting?) then possibly add the repeatable for a few times.

This version has nasty low poly count, this is being experimented on atm.

Going back and playing the ol' Slopes for a few times realizing how small it actually was. I hope this cuts it for an update I guess.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the textures are coming along as well.
Is this picture in source or blockland?

This one was in Blockland... Sorry for not specifying.

HL3 Confirmed.

Good work!

The first things were taking in Source, for the kicks and seeing what Slopes would look like with this new style I'm trying. The last one was taking ingame and I'm working on collision atm.

This thing is really impressive. I am looking forward to this being complete.

But my goodness, it does remind me how ugly Blockland maps were.
We won't get anything prettier with static shapes.

I'm gonna start trying to use a new tactic. I'm going to split the terrain into sectors, and make each sector as highly detailed as possible. Instead of using the old initiative I originally did using one big .dts. I'll figure this out, and possibly start up my server showing it off.

I would like to check it out!

Looks great! How is the collision?

Some interesting things happened, half of the actually terrain stopped showing and the collision just turned into a bounding box. What fun would it be to drive a car through that.

Slopes was one of my favorite maps. So glad to see you working on this! Good job!

:D

that's what I was thinking while reading page 2 a few seconds ago. hope it works!
