Author Topic: So apparently there's going to be a Minecraft movie in 2017-18  (Read 5306 times)

"it's a game without a plot, you can't make a movie out of it!"

Yeah, totally
That's why The LEGO Movie was such a huge failure
it's even being made by the same people, lol what losers

Lego has ALOT more potential and it's quirky style allowed for it have room to breath.

chances are they're going to try and make this "serious" for the "target" audience.

....why are you in the target toy section
im headin towards the electronics to cop logics new album and they run past me

I actually would love to see a minecraft movie.
I know that the Ratchet & Clank movie is scheduled for release in 2015

now watch as its just the finale for that one series yogscast started and never finished a while back
ahahaha
that is still the best damn story minecraft could ever lead to imo

I wonder how generic the story line's going to turn out

This is a terrible premise for a movie, but still better than Tetris.

If it was a huge failure, why was it the #1 movie opening weekend?

It's not gonna be THAT bad, but you're gonna be watching it with a bunch of twelve year old kids with creeper plushies and 'le meme face' masks.

also HOW THE **** DO YOU MAKE A LIVE ACTION MOVIE FROM A PIXELATED VIDEO GAME
yeah I mean there's totally not this thing called animations or CGI, uhuh.

If it was a huge failure, why was it the #1 movie opening weekend?

he's joking

If there was a Portal movie I would loving love it. Or a Borderlands movie, I would love that too.
But I was mostly referring to all the other video game movies and how great those are.
I'm sure movies for those games would be great, but we would already know the plot because we've played the games.
And it wouldn't be as exciting as playing it since you're not actually interacting with the environment, but watching one specific way it's done.

Where were you guys when this was confirmed? this was announced months ago.

Jesus Christ, I can picture the millions of little bastards scurrying to the movie theaters just to watch this stuff.

And it's live action (meaning it will take place in a somewhat realistic environment, no stuffty pixelated blocks)
