Because your money doesn't keep its value.

All money changes in value on a day to day basis. What me and tails are saying is that the US Dollar is not doing well in the basis of exchange rates because of the crashing US economy.

For you Americans, you may not see it as things will generally be the same price as it has been for a while. Us Brits can buy many more Dollars for our Pound right now which makes things cheaper to buy in Dollars than it has been for a long time.

It used to be about $1.5 to £1 which meant that if we wanted to buy something which cost us $150 (like TGE), we would be paying £100. NOW, the exchange rate is about $2 to £1 so if we were to buy something that was $150 now, it would cost us £75, saving us some monies!

I hope that explains it...

AUD $1 = US $0.92, all time low.

The price of TGE, in whichever country, region or state including their economies and/or their status, is irrelevant to this thread. sorreh, ive alwehs wntd 2 sund ofichilz :D

YAR HAR FIDDLE DEE DEE
BEING A PIRATE IS ALRIGHT TO BE
THE EXCHANGE RATES ARE KILLING ME
YOU ARE A PIRATE

The pound might get even more expensive if there's a depression in the economy, following the boom that occurred some time ago.

I'm a pirate? Wooo. How?

25 Australian dollars = 22.58500 US$

Darn D: I didn't make 25$ :'(

AUD $1 = US $0.92, all time low.
Australian dollar used to be worth about $0.75 in the US about 2 years ago now its worth about $0.92, that's a massive drop in the USD, its cheaper to buy things from the USA (Inc postage and handling) then it is to buy from a local store (Average around $100 AUD).
