What does it matter? I'll never meet you in real life. To me you're just as virtual as NPCs.
You're getting way too worked up about this, seriously cool down hotcake.
I don't really like warm dessert though, I like it cold.
i don't think anyone here is trying to claim that video games are any more effective at breaking strong psychological distinctions between what is real and simulated than are other media of entertainment like movies. just like how i might not like scary movies, i might not like games with realistic and graphic scenes of Flash Mob. this isn't really a matter exclusive to this being a game. if this game were a movie, i would probably have the same reaction. it's obviously not real, and i can't really find a good way to explain the psychological effect entertainment does have, but there definitely is a chemical response involved, and i just wouldn't enjoy the response from this kind of content presented in this manner. i'm not saying anyone else should or shouldn't, this is simply how i feel about the matter.
Well this is a very good point of view.
Truthfully with all the excuses I have I can't like/watch scary movies/games either that much even though I know it's a bloody screen. So there's that. And this may unsettle some people. However there's a difference between being unsettled by a game and ignoring it / letting it go, a game that is complete asswarts and needs to be removed from the face of earth and a game that you/people like.
For me being unsettled by a game let's say Amnesia. This is subjective though. Not because the game sucks, but because I don't like it. That does not mean I need to bash it in that it's spooky.
A game that's complete asswarts and needs to be removed is Air Control. This is pretty much objective.
A game that I like is also subjective, that doesn't mean you, or anyone else likes it or is forced to like it.
However the way people are perceiving this game is considered "objectively" as a wrong thing to do, not that the game is simply not fit for them and they go through with subjective arguments. Which is what my issue with the perceiving of the game is - the game is not liked and bashed by people that have a different concept of a "normal" game and do not feel good knowing that this game exists or that they would play it.
Regarding the above I don't consider this game normal though, definitely not. But I have nothing against it and I think it would be a pretty fun game.
