Author Topic: "Hatred" Most likely the most edgiest game ever announced!  (Read 21313 times)

K bye, you will not be missed, just like those virtual innocent people you're going to willingfully kill.
At least I am real and can differentiate real life from a fantasy world.

lol calm down

i said that because i could imagine people getting worked up because i was saying killing things was ok
Don't get me wrong, killing things is not okay in itself. But we are talking about something that does not physically exist, and besides of that, in comparison there are ever so many games that do things rather violently, even into absurdity. Yet that is fine because it has "moral values" because people are shooting back at you. What about killing everyone in Liebermode in Postal 2, and doing all the wacky stuff you can do in that game anyway? It's a pretty extreme comparison but it's closer to this forgeted up game. Or killing pedestrians in any open world game? Or torture scenes in games/execution kills? Or basically anything that resembles an unusual side of violent video games where you don't just shoot people that shoot at you?

i agree that the game is not all that different from all those other games where you kill things to no remorse, and actually pokes at that concept

and they achieved that poke by making the game as ridiculously unorthodox as a game development studio can possibly do

it's edgy enough that you can cut yourself just by swiping a finger across the screen while the trailer is playing, and that's exactly the way it is meant to be

At least I am real and can differentiate real life from a fantasy world.
What does it matter? I'll never meet you in real life. To me you're just as virtual as NPCs.
You're getting way too worked up about this, seriously cool down hotcake.

i don't think anyone here is trying to claim that video games are any more effective at breaking strong psychological distinctions between what is real and simulated than are other media of entertainment like movies. just like how i might not like scary movies, i might not like games with realistic and graphic scenes of Flash Mob. this isn't really a matter exclusive to this being a game. if this game were a movie, i would probably have the same reaction. it's obviously not real, and i can't really find a good way to explain the psychological effect entertainment does have, but there definitely is a chemical response involved, and i just wouldn't enjoy the response from this kind of content presented in this manner. i'm not saying anyone else should or shouldn't, this is simply how i feel about the matter.

I don't really like warm dessert though, I like it cold.

Well this is a very good point of view.
Truthfully with all the excuses I have I can't like/watch scary movies/games either that much even though I know it's a bloody screen. So there's that. And this may unsettle some people. However there's a difference between being unsettled by a game and ignoring it / letting it go, a game that is complete asswarts and needs to be removed from the face of earth and a game that you/people like.

For me being unsettled by a game let's say Amnesia. This is subjective though. Not because the game sucks, but because I don't like it. That does not mean I need to bash it in that it's spooky.
A game that's complete asswarts and needs to be removed is Air Control. This is pretty much objective.
A game that I like is also subjective, that doesn't mean you, or anyone else likes it or is forced to like it.

However the way people are perceiving this game is considered "objectively" as a wrong thing to do, not that the game is simply not fit for them and they go through with subjective arguments. Which is what my issue with the perceiving of the game is - the game is not liked and bashed by people that have a different concept of a "normal" game and do not feel good knowing that this game exists or that they would play it.
Regarding the above I don't consider this game normal though, definitely not. But I have nothing against it and I think it would be a pretty fun game.

If it helps people calm down and Flash Mob virtual people instead of real ones, it's a good idea.

there sure is a lot of hatred for this game

Shadow the Hedgehog model DLC when
Christopher Dorner DLC when.

A mod that replaces all people with Anita Sarkeesian

If you had a program that could locate LeetZero and kill him, would you activate it?

So it's a normal game??
Seriously you kill infinite innocent people in tons of games. This is nothing new. Just advertised a bit dark.

If you had a program that could locate LeetZero and kill him, would you activate it?
