Author Topic: "Hatred" Most likely the most edgiest game ever announced!  (Read 20240 times)

I dare them to compare it to GTA lol

i dunno no mission i ever got in GTA was about brutally murdering innocent people in violent, graphic ways.

video games as an artform
lol

assuming dramatized mass killing is not only appealing but a source of entertainment
Just because it isn't to you doesn't mean that it simply isn't.

additionally it gives ammo to every single person in the history of ever who want to prove that video games cause violence
These kinds of morons don't need "ammo." They will latch on to anything and everything regardless of how "artistic" you may think it is or isn't.

also fun is not defined as gunning down dudes that can't fight back
What's with all the armchair sociologists trying to say what fun is and isn't today? News flash, nerds, people have differing opinions on and experiences regarding something that is as abstract as fun, and you aren't going to be able to solidly define it.

lol
If you just want to throw away a form of interactive media into the garbage then you can do that.

Some games receive positive press based on their content. Bioshock infinite got a lot of praise because it divulged into complex narrative beyond shoot folks.
If it is you're forgeted up.

If you get your kicks from hunting things down you have issues. Not to mention there's no challenge.

Also if I don't respond past this point it's because arguing on the internet gets nowhere and I don't like derailing threads.

Sure, whatever you say, guy. Your feelings however are irrelevant.

Well this steaming pile of edge looks interesting.

There are really no good arguments against the game besides that it seems to have been written by 14 year olds and it's poorly developed
GTA4 is just as sociopathic as this

The primary objective of GTA IV is to get revenge on the man who betrayed you in Albania/wherever. Even though you can kill civilians en masse, it is not the primary loving objective. The game is not telling you to shoot at civilians. It does not loving condone senseless genocide. Especially since wanted stars take forever and a half to dissipate in GTA IV, it definitely sends a clear message that genocide isn't exactly ok and that there are consequences.

If you're going to point to the edge-tastic level of call of duty, not only were you not required to gun down civilians, but there wasn't a "Kill X civvies to advance" bar. The only people you had to shoot (surprise, surprise) were the people SHOOTING AT YOU.

Why does it matter what the game tells you to do? I feel like lots of people will go on killing sprees or hit and runs in GTA 4 anyway. The only difference here is it's an objective. What's the argument here? That this is going to push mentally fragile people to condone genocide? Because if they were already inclined to go on killing sprees, then games like GTA were all they needed to fuel this mindset.

Do you guys seriously think video games have ever pushed anyone to do something horrible?

do you just like expressly play sesame street games or what
why are you even here

?????????? I'm arguing for the game? I played GTA 4 and I shot hookers and I loved it man. Reread my arguments, you seem to be confused.

Pick the right words then.
Because this is some bible belt stuff.

Not even my argument that games incite genocide but whatever.

GTA is a game that gives you the option to kill civilians (which is heavily penalized) in order to give it some bit of realism in a game where you can steal cars and shoot down helis.

The point of GTA is that you do whatever your objective is like in most every game ever. This game is only about killing innocents for no reason. The two games are incomparable because they have no practical similarities.

Might as well call Watchdogs, Sleeping Dogs, and TES series as bad as this piece of stuff because you CAN kill innocents.
