Author Topic: My sister is illegally holding alcohol  (Read 35712 times)

Parents definitely have a right to raise their kids, but we're not talking about her parents. We're talking about her brother.

Let me clarify: if her parents found the bottle themselves, they would be entirely in the right to exercise discipline. Her brother is not in that position of privilege. He would be overstepping his moral boundaries to take her discipline into his own hands by telling their parents.
he's not taking her discipline into his hands, he's giving his parents the decision
I don't see how that's any different then her parents finding out

Im hiding stuff too, just like any other teenager
Just dont rat her out or be or be a richard

muh rebellious phase
my angst
my right to break the law!

if you rat her out, tell her first at least why.

i wouldnt rat her out though.
it is richardish.

Just a little snippet of information, a standard bottle of 375mL rum will fit perfectly in the sleeve of an empty Pringles can.

are you one of those kids that doesnt drink

are you one of those kids that doesnt drink
No.  He's using satire to try to condone those who say "Don't be a richard" when ignoring the fact that it is against the law.

What are you even implying?

so he's using satire to say "don't be a richard"? What it seems like is that he's making fun of people who do drink, tbh. What are you babbling about

I was a kid once, never went through that whole drinking thing

Replace the wine with Vodka. When she gets super drunk, come in in a Richard Nixon mask. Talk to her like you are Richard Nixon and tell her you were president. When she believes you, tell her that you'll make her famous if she has love with you. forget her with your plastic nose to loosen her up and then forget her with your Richard Nixon, if you know what I mean ;)

Just so you know, getting drunk doesn't mean you all of a sudden believe the most ridiculous, absurd situations to be true. I know you're making a joke here, but I feel like you also don't know how alcohol works.

I don't hide anything. Last night I had a beer with my dad, because we're both mature people and we had a discussion about it.

Well I do hide a kinda thought-log under my bed. I wouldn't get in trouble but I just try to keep my angst to myself lmfao

also, forget off with using "edgy" to describe people.
the only people who are against using edgy to describe edgy kids are edgy kids
!!!!!!

Well OP you got your answer.
100 of us want us to at least do something (personally I don't think it's a good idea to call the cops).
Talk to her about it, or tell your parents and let them deal with.
I wouldn't mind those saying "you'd ruin your relationship with your sister because she can't trust you", because I wouldn't trust someone who 1.)Probably stole wine from their parents 2.)Blackmailed you, which already shows she doesn't trust you.

so he's using satire to say "don't be a richard"?
What he's implying is that priorities should be the law, rather than personal or cultural obligations.

What it seems like is that he's making fun of people who do drink, tbh.
He's using satire to point out strange priorities and entitlement.

What are you babbling about
Harm's point came across as perfect sense to me.  Your accusation of Harm being a person that "doesn't use his brain" was odd, and if I may say, a tad out of line and condescending.
