i dunno man i feel like maybe your art style is a bit too bright

it doesn't really matter when i look at this image, but i feel that if i were playing this game, my eyes would start to hurt after 5-ish minutes

lol colors are fine. i've had several people playtest the game and nobody's said anything of the sort. and they've played it multiple times and beat it.

also unrelated but i think I might give the player a white outline or something so they can stand out more against darker backgrounds.

the only color that's a little hard to look at is the red
maybe making it a darker shade would make it look better
still looks really nice in all though

You got a good art style, but your animations need a bit of work. They feel kind of clunkey.
