Author Topic: Are Babies Dishwasher safe??  (Read 20599 times)

ok so i have a pretty tight schedule in the morning and i was just wondering, can i throw my kid into a dishwasher or will it damage the machine? ive had this dishwasher for a few years and we go way back. i remember being to drunk to even walk and he was there for me. i remember after bad breakups he was there to comfort me. i dont want some weird expendable tool like a child going and ruining my best friend.

thanks!

Just set it to casual wash and you'll be fine.

yes, you can, I recommend a good 5 minutes coupled with the strongest of detergents

The water inside of a dishwasher can be between 120 - 150 degrees Fahrenheit, so I cannot recommend you use a dishwasher to wash your child without first buying it a protective thermal jacket.

for the dishwasher right? i couldnt begin to think of the dishwasher breaking down becuase of this i can always make new babies, cant say the same for my dishwasher...

If the temperature doesn't exceed 160 degrees Fahrenheit, there shouldn't be any damage to the plates or machine.

Dishwashers don't have that many moving parts though, so the child might not get fully washed. I might recommend using the laundry machine (the ones that spin, should get all angles of child washed efficiently) or strapping it to the hood of your car when you through a car wash.

this

or strapping it to the hood of your car when you through a car wash.

I've found that while apt to cause damage to your paint, car washes with spinning brushes tend to clean more thoroughly. Babies can get pretty dirty, so I don't know if one of the water-jet ones would suffice to clean some of the babies more 'heavy duty' areas. Also realize that the best course of action would actually be to build some sort of rotisserie on top of your car that automatically rotates slowly. Otherwise the part of your baby facing downward may not be fully cleaned, as well as leaving a baby-shaped spot of dirt on the roof of your car.

they also bleed everywhere, if you have a white car like me, you dont want those ugly blood stains everywhere...

That's why touchless is a thing!

Don't do it, it will cause a gigantic mess and will be difficult to clean up. You do not want to do this to your best friend.

Just throw the baby into a pond at a nearby golf course. Then take your dishwasher out for a nice dinner and movie
