Keyboard Controls for Vehicles

Controlling jeeps with the mouse can be really difficult at times, and controlling planes often seems to be near-impossible. Holding down C, as I found when I searched for this subject, doesn't really seem to help.

I recently played with a bunch of friends, and their most frequent complaint was the vehicle controls.

Are there any plans to implement keyboard controls for vehicles? I noticed that there's going to be a tank in v9, will the keyboard control the base? It seems logical to me that for both minifigs and vehicles, WASD should move/steer, and the mouse should look.

It would be nice as an option, at least.

That would seem most logical for the tank. But I do agree with you about the mouse steering, I wish there was an option to change it too.

Well, it works ok, but I can't strafe as a blockhead, and the keyboard controls don't auto-center like most driving games.

Using the mouse is actually easier than this, to be honest.

I don't think you understand what I mean. Pressing A or D should turn the steering wheel a set amount, and simply tapping it, like most games, can be used for small increments in steering. This is what most people seem to be used to, and it's certainly easier for me and my friends.

Not auto-centering because "this is a building game" doesn't make much sense, given that we're talking about a vehicle, not building blocks.

can't it be like the mouse: pressing the "A" button make it steer slowly to the left and to make it even gain press the "D" button as long as you pressed the "A" button, instead of instantly go to the max angle??
