This. If you like tacos or anything with ground beef, a good, cheaper change would be ground turkey.
omg this
Aldi's ground beef (at the store I go to anyways) is 3.49/lb (even more at big name stores)
And then their ground turkey is like $1.90/lb or something like that
And it doesn't really taste all that different to me
also it has less fat

If you do happen to have a bulk store, take advantage of it. In washington ,there is a place call Cash n carry, which is pretty much a restaurant supplier. They sell everything in bulk for a better price. Man i really miss that place, especially now since i'm old enough to actually take advantage of it.
Make sure you pay attention to the prices on bulk places. My mom shops at Costco sometimes, and while some things are legitimately cheaper, a lot of products (especially they're frozen/bakery/deli) are still really expensive. She'll buy these massive deep dish pizzas sometimes and they're like $20 each. Actually stay away from premade foods in general. (premade meaning anything from the obvious stuff like hot deli food, to just things like preformed hamburger patties), it's a lot cheaper to make it yourself

Yeah, those are some of the big no-nos. Sure, they are easy, like the box meals, but they aren't that big, can be pricy, and i personally find them disgusting.

Learning how to cook is definitly a great skill to have. Learn to love cooking, it will make being alone much easier.

microwave romen noodles and mac n cheese

my budget is the most simplified thing on earth. later tonight ill prob just be adding dec to it.
i cant do without my colorz

now that i realize it. i dont budget food or gas. i look at that stuff as part of shopping funds lol XD

How in the world is your car insurance only $178

i have a perfect driving record lol

plus at 25 people get a nice insurance price break. dunno how old you are.

Buy canned or raw potatos, carrots, celery, etc. and learn how to cook. Really. You'll probably get better meals than at a fast-food place and it'll be cheaper too (as long as you don't buy gourmet or organic products. Just get the regular varieties.)

ask your dad what he has been buying lately

contact tlc to be on extreme cheapskates

Never been in an accident or got a ticket before. I am 21 though. Currently paying $230 a month

thats slightly more then mine. that age cap might be the reason.
25+ just falls under a whole different statistical range. so they auto drop you a little

I pay $113.56 for mine with 100/300k full bumper to bumper coverage with 500 deductible and I'm only 20, at my age I should be paying way more than that.

guys 1000 a week
that's like 5 grand a month.

..what??

It's common knowledge that there are four weeks in a month. There are 52 weeks in a year, divided by 12 months, that's 4 1/3 weeks in the average month. So that's $4,333.33 a month. Or, a yearly salary of 52*1,000 or 52,000. That's actually plenty to live on for just two people, so either your payment obligations are much too expensive (e.g. 2k a month rent + utilities) or your dad has a secret gambling problem.
