This. If you like tacos or anything with ground beef, a good, cheaper change would be ground turkey.
omg this
Aldi's ground beef (at the store I go to anyways) is 3.49/lb (even more at big name stores)
And then their ground turkey is like $1.90/lb or something like that
And it doesn't really taste all that different to me
also it has less fat
If you do happen to have a bulk store, take advantage of it. In washington ,there is a place call Cash n carry, which is pretty much a restaurant supplier. They sell everything in bulk for a better price. Man i really miss that place, especially now since i'm old enough to actually take advantage of it.
Make sure you pay attention to the prices on bulk places. My mom shops at Costco sometimes, and while some things are legitimately cheaper, a lot of products (especially they're frozen/bakery/deli) are still really expensive. She'll buy these massive deep dish pizzas sometimes and they're like $20 each. Actually stay away from premade foods in general. (premade meaning anything from the obvious stuff like hot deli food, to just things like preformed hamburger patties), it's a lot cheaper to make it yourself
