Author Topic: Looking for a gaming laptop (600$ - 700$)  (Read 2460 times)

Just for all the neckbeards that are gonna complain about desktops, laptops are superior in mobility, op probably has a social life unlike 90% of this forum.
you're the one who asked for a carrot in the middle of summer

you're the one who asked for a carrot in the middle of summer

this makes no valid argument against his point

some people are into that kinda stuff.

owning a carrot doesn't mean you don't have a social life.

I have the Y50, paid $1700 for it though not $700 lol.
You probably got the one that was fully upgraded so...

OT:
Lenovo is a wonderful thing to get a decent laptop.
lenovos are probably the best computers i have owned

Got the 40 for friends, it's great and sometimes feels like it runs better than my desktop. It's probably what I'll be getting myself, soon enough.
Before all the friends crawl out of the crevasses of this forum and start yelling desktop, maybe you should ask him if the computer is for mobility.

Heard good things about the Lenovo Y40 and Y50.

I really like the specs of these two but I've heard the screen is stuff. (in terms of color, not res) Thoughts?

Because having a 2 hour battery life, giving you third degree burns on your leg, and a stuffty keyboard and trackpad are worth costing 2x as much as a desktop of with the same specs.

if you think it will be used it on his lap and use the trackpad without plugging it in you are an idiot.

no one should own laptops that cost more then 500 bucks.
they just age soooooo badly, they arnt even worth owning for anything but office programs x.x

Having lived with a gaming laptop, I'm trying to persuade people to stay away since they're absolutely stuffe.

The battery power will last you 3 hours with the laptop idling and the brightness set to low. Playing games will bring that down to under an hour (this is on multiple gaming laptops, btw, I've had to do PR for quite a few of these loving things).
just because your gaming laptop sucks doesn't mean they all do
my current gaming laptop has 8 hours of coding, or an hour or so of gaming
