Author Topic: So I'm beginning to question why people hate popular YouTubers [blogland]  (Read 3282 times)

Godwin's law proves itself once again.
well national socialists are the most relatable bunch of thugs out there, ya know

A lot of them pander to as many people as possible, so their entertainment is basic as forget and a waste of time

I don't really hate any youtuber, I just find that usually their content usually doesn't pander to what stuff I enjoy.

dont mind markiplier, pewdiepie is weird, and jontron is god

PDP's fanbase makes up for alot of his hate and his humor well... not everybody likes it but the people who do are usually pretty young so yknow, anything will give em a giggle. Also his random screaming is quite annoying for me, but I don't think the guy is bad or anything it's his job and he probably has to pander to his audience to stay in business.

Im not sure about Markipler, he seems to have been popular with some Tumblr users and the fnaf fanbase. Also if anything his voice is another factor for why he may be getting popular (which I gotta admit its p nice) Once again I don't like his content but I don't think he's a bad guy. I heard people calling him the "american pewdiepie" a few times but strangely I bet if i did watch his stuff I wouldn't mind it as much.

Cry I'd say isn't that popular in terms of youtube, when you think about it 1mil subs (slowly approaching 2mil) isn't that large when compared to other, larger channels. I like him for quite a few reasons like ditching the facecam stuff, and how he rips on his fanbase if they go nuts (just lookup the crybabies story) sorta like the anti-LPer in a weird way imo.

Markiplier has ADHD which explains his randomness. My theory on why these youtubers are hated is because of jealousy.
You would have to be stupid not to be jealous of someone like pewdiepie
forgeter makes millions for having an accent and pandering to twelve year olds' senses of humor, of course I want that much money for so little effort

Might I add that possibly alot of his fans like him for his looks aswell? I know some fangirls who are falling in love with this guy.

I don't like PewDiePie because a few years ago I just fell out due to me not liking his sense of humor.

I still don't watch him because I doubt he's really changed, but people like Markiplier and Cry I prefer.

I haven't watched Cry recently, though, oddly enough.

ugh, I know that too well. Used to know a girl who was totally into his videos, she was nice besides that, but she was super defensive of the guy. The personality cult bullstuff is also super gay. I hate the little clubs they make where they name their subscribers bros or what have you and make them feel like they're in some kind of community when all it really is is some dude.

Cry seems to be the only one of the 3 mentioned who doesn't want a weird fan pet name, the crazy fans made one up and he told them to forget off B)

i dont have a problem with most youtubers tbh
what does get on my nerves is when people just start jumping on a "x did this now its ruined" bandwagon

PewDiePie and Markiplier are just unbearably unfunny and cringe-worthy for me. I tried to watch something Markiplier made and it was just so ridiculously obviously scripted and forced I hardly made it through 1:30.

As for PewDiePie, I guess he's gotten more bearable ever since he stopped saying rape every 10 seconds, but I'm pretty sure he still does the stuff were he screams BARRELS into the mic for no goddamn reason every time he sees one as some sort of stuffty fanservice to his army of handicapped consumers. His shows are more scripted/forced than mark and his inside/running jokes are forgetin' garbage and are usually a higher priority to him than most of the games he's actually playing at the time. Pretty sure the only reason people watch his stuff is because people think he's attractive. Seriously, every second 16 or 15 year old girl at my school watches pewdiepie religiously.

Cry is okay, I used to watch him, but his voice creeps the forget out of me sometimes. And critikal is just god-tier. In all ways.

I only heard the american pewdiepie in a jacksfilms video, and I do remember cry addressing censorship in the "wolf among us" video where it showed the little mermaid's tits.
