ok so here's the whole story

actually i just mute anyone who makes it clear they're trying to start a fight
like i've muted a dozen people just today before they came into direct conflict with anyone else and immediately unmuted them once i made it clear that i wasn't going to stand for them antagonizing some guy at length for having a high id or 'aimbotting' or killing them too much or something and most people get the picture pretty quickly
like the mutes last maybe 10 seconds- just long enough for me to say 'dont start a fight over this stupid nothing conflict, it's not worth it and nobody wants to see you make idiots of yourselves'- and then i unmute them. if they continue to attempt to fight i usually just mute them again and unmute them like 10 minutes later, and if they somehow continue to attempt to fight a 10 minute old fight then i just mute them and forget about it cause they aren't gonna contribute anything to any conversations, forget em
bim in particular has a forgetin taunt button
a manually bound custom taunt button
something that could only possibly exist to start fights with other people
like in team fortress or whatever that would be ok because the taunts are not only a deliberate part of the game- which means everyone innately has access to them, effortlessly- but leave you wide open for a hilarious come-uppance should you then get shot while you're doing a little victory dance and the taunts are innately sort of goofy, so everyone still has fun when the heavy eats a sandwich over some dead guys corpse or the spy starts talkin about dinner food or whatever. meanwhile, bim has gone out of his way to prebake a function with the express purpose of exerting dominance over whoever he can kill in what is essentially a skill-less party game, which is already a big red flag in my head that he's obviously not going to be an asset to anyone's day
so the first time i noticed him doin this sort of thng, i warned him; he was deliberately slingin stuff at some guy he'd just killed with one of the aforementioned prebaked taunts (something like "Was that your best?" or some ridiculous cliche along those lines) and i told him off cause one that's a ridiculous cliche and two he's already won the fight, he doesn't have to dance around and rub the guy's face in it
so the second time he's using (what might have been the same taunt, considering they're all cliches and they've all mixed together in my head) the same tool like the next round, completely ignoring me, so i muted him
so he calls in, like, flunkies
like 3 guys show up and are all "why did you mute bim hes such a nice guy" and i present my case that "he's literally automated being a stuffbird" and they're like "no, that doesnt count" and let them run their course and like 2 of them eventually leave and the last one is green arrow, who admittedly i probably should unmute. like i think i muted him for briefly spamming the server and then i never saw him try to talk again so i assumed he just had nothing else to say beyond "bim has done nothing wrong" and we didnt really come in contact past that
anyway so later i unmute bim and say something along the lines of "bim stop bein a stuff, i'm not gonna tolerate you making a random party game any more infuriating to the playerbase then it is innately" and like a split second later he kills some guy and says "Was that your best?" and now he's just permamuted
like what more could i possibly say here? 'you know what bim i'm sorry it was wrong of me to give you upwards of 5 chances to not act like a stuffbird. here, let me unmute you so you can continue to piss off more people with a low-tech chatbot'
so today i come back and bim and a bunch of other dudes are unmuted
which makes sense, cause the server has recently been migrated from zix's home thing to wrapper's vps, so they probably just grabbed the ban list and not the mute list
green arrow's spamming the chat and i immediately recognize 'oh forget that's what i muted him for' and just remute him again and reason 'wait, if green arrow is unmuted, then bim- who i deliberately want muted for being a stuffty sport in the first place- might
also be unmuted' and i re-mute bim on the spot as well and the same song and dance of 'why did you mute bim bim did nothing wrong' happens with mr.jmorra (who isn't a problem user in particular but
is sort of a passive-aggressive ass) and i say the same 'seriously we have like 2 threads on the matter now, bim's a stuffbird' schtick and eventually i notice, through the randomizer's spectator, that bim is
still forgetin taunting dead guys without talkinglike he's teabagging people and dancing around and he's doing everything he can to get around the punishment i set for him to not do the thing i want him not to do
like at this point it's not actually the fact that he is taunting- because like this is relatively low intensity and falls under the whole 'you can totally get blindsided by a sudden missile from nowhere and it'd be hilarious' thing as much as it is that i am fully aware bim is- in addition to doing his damndest to be a stuff to the playerbase- deliberately trying to piss me off
so some time later (like, 10 minutes tops) i notice his little blue name in the top left, which means he's
trying to say something in chat and i think to myself immediately after he kills some guy 'what could he possibly be about to say, will this be the same thing that's been happening for the past like day' so i unmute him, spectate him, see what he could
possibly be about to say
he's teabagging some guy and possibly out of habit goes ':^)'
and he's banned now
bushido's fuse is so forgetin short it's not even quantifiable
like in any situation i would like laugh and nod my head in agreement but this went on for like an hour before i got fed up
so my fuse is approximately an hour long

so dart gilsomething and two other guys all get muted and im like 'ha haaa you didnt read the thing fast enough' and everyone gets a good laugh and then like a few seconds later- having been killed by something- i unmute him and captain moon master, the start of the joke in the first place says like '?!??!?!?!TAHT OD UOY DID YHW' in deliberately overblown allcaps letters (especially within the context that i've seen cmm around and he typically exhibits a typing pattern that isn't covered in drool) and i mute him as pertaining to my threat and dart, gil and the other two guys also score a laugh and then a few minutes pass and i see cmm trying to type in the chat and the administration collectively realizes that we forgot to unmute him
he also thought it was funny though so nobody really seems to be distressed over the situation
i think it all boils down to people feeling that those little "kill comments" are slights against themselves, like these personal attack - it's called being competitive. that's why games note when players are dominating you, so you can go and whoop their butts! and people try to justify it like "it's annoying." buster, it's only annoying when it happens to you. you probably don't even glance at the chat 90% of the time you're playing a DM,.
you're a poor sport, bushido. you can't deal with the fact someone killed you. take a jab, for chrissakes.

mei barely ever actually fight bim in the randomizer he usually goes up against some other guy amblin around the server
i almost always notice bim because i coincidentally happen to be spectating him (most likely cause he's part of the last 2, cause he's pretty good about not getting killed) or he
says something in the chat
