Author Topic: Silk Road Project  (Read 624 times)

My World History Honors teacher assigned me a project that I have a week to complete. I am a trader/caravan merchant on my way from Xian, China to Merv, Turkmenistan. I need to complete a journal of my journey from Xian to Merv. I also need supplies, and I was hoping you guys could help me with a supplies list.
Some additional information: I am going through Steppe, Gobi Desert, Taklamakan Desert and the Pamir Mountains, so I am going to need the proper survival gear to survive all of those climates.

I have 2 caravaneers (plus me, so that's 3), 10 guards, 1 dog, and 20 camels. I calculated that I will need around 3500 gallons of water to keep all of the people/animals alive and breathing through a desert, and mainly for the entire journey. I still need a food calculation, and other survival gear IE: jackets, boots, etc.

I do have to write a very detailed journal of the journey, I was just asking for survival gear.

Bring an AK in case you run into CIA

bribe a mercenary to act as your escort with, say, 15% of the profits

EDIT: I can't read :P
Breezy jacket for the trek across the steppe

EDIT 2: Something with fur that isn't very heavy would be great, as it won't weigh down the animals when you don't need it.

I thought this was going to be about the black market

Bring some condoms in case if one your party members wants to make love the dog

There isn't too much of a point posting topics like this "guuuys i need halp ogm!!1!" because nobody really takes them seriously, ever.

Ima help though, you need rope to tie stuff down and tie the animals together so they don't wander off.  Especially the camels, so they don't wander off into the desert and forget one another in the the shade of a cactus or something.
