You'll get $10 out of skyrim easy. But yeah would have been better getting legendary edition when it was cheap, There's a ton of content in the dlc and quite a few mods require them.

And you might want to grab
Unofficial Skyrim Patch - Fixes tens of thousands of bugs
SkyUI - Remakes the ui to be better for mouse
SKSE - Skyui needs this, Extends the scripting engine or something.
